@vinny I apologize for my glib comment earlier. I come from the perspective of a die hard Giant Bomb fan and long time KSP player, so while I was excited when you first started this, it is tough to watch you struggle with fundamental parts of the gameplay so many hours later. I don't want to comment just to be mean, I just want you to have more fun playing the game. Not that you're not enjoying what you are doing now, but there's so much more to the game than rescuing Kerbals stranded in zany orbits in overcomplicated ways. For my money, it would be so much more fun to watch you trial and error your way to landing and operating a rover on Duna (for example) - but not in the way you're going about playing KSP right now. I'm trying to think of a way to articulate what exactly I think isn't working and is keeping you from doing all the things you can do in KSP, but I can't, so maybe I should just stay away. I'm glad you're having fun in KSP, it's just a shame that you won't see all of what it has to offer.
@drewbert You tried to give him the wrong sort of medicine. You use the patches (AKA field dressing, everyone gets those) to heal yourself and to be able to revive others, and the medic bag (as the Medic) to heal others (and also yourself).
You also didn't have to spawn back at base, you could have spawned at one of the FOBs (triangle icons on the map), which is something that the SL can create.
100 players is the target, but right now 72 player is stable and what they're supporting. Also, Project Reality has had vehicles for ages and it worked great, so I don't think there is any need at all to worry about balancing or whatever. The devs know what they're doing.
