I wish Lucy gave her overall no spoiler impression of god of war. She was the one that finished it but the majority of the people talking about the game hadn't. For that discussion I would have preferred 80% Lucy and 20% other people asking questions.
Yeah, weird how they had someone who completed what is the biggest game of the week and possibly year and she got about 2 mins of talk time, really was interested in what Lucy had to say about the game.
Jeff's TV should be able to do 120hz at 1080p (think he has an LG C7 or C8), pretty sure these next gen systems are aiming at 4k 60fps. Buying a new TV seems a little pointless, unless he's hooking up a beefy boy PC to a new LG.
Constructive criticism, maybe have a more structured breakdown/discussion next time. There are some great breakdowns of the game out there and they all have a logical flow, this was just all over the place from the get go. That being said, it was still interesting hearing all the duders opinions on the game.
These playdates are kinda wild, I can get that if Abby doesn't like the game, then maybe just stop playing it? I'd rather watch these three hang out playing something a little more in her style (I'm down for a AC: Syndicate playdate) then just playing Dead Space to fill the void of hanging out.
Whilst not a direct comparison, imagine playing through Outer Wilds for the first time with two other people casually talking during every story moment and just pushing through to finish the game. Hardly the same I know, but attention and willingness to engage in the game feels like it directly affects your enjoyment.
I also don't watch these live so maybe I'm missing out on the chat environment and everything, I just want Abby to at least enjoy playing something whilst hanging out with the duders!
Alex is referring to Li Ziqi on YouTube, very very popular in China as a channel that brings Chinese culture and traditional country living, some would argue a propaganda machine for the Chinese government, but her videos are well shot and the countryside is beautiful.
Man, Ryan really threw himself under the bus with calling himself a doctor. I have friends that swear by them, but personally follow the Gerstmann train of thought.
@johnseminario: For sure, I think I was with Jeff for the first hour (kinda lost and a feeling of no real direction) before I eventually went back and talked to everyone and explored the museum, and just fell in love with the game to it becoming one of my favourite games of all time.
