Ok, so I know it's funny, but as someone in a region where frames are important, talking whilst syncing is fucking annoying. Glad Alex tried to keep things in check, but still solid content here.
Everything I read about EVO makes me think that the scene exists to celebrate openly horrible garbage people and makes me glad I don't follow it.
For some garbage things that can happen in the FGC, there are stories like Arslan Ash. They kinda talked a little bit about his journey, but I recommend watching some of his interviews, he really is inspirational in his journey from Pakistan to the world stage.
Bought the game after the QL cause it looks so well written, and thought Dan might be going overboard with the platforming... He is 100% right, it just doesn't feel good, several times it feels like the inputs just don't register at all and some of the checkpoints are terrible. It's a shame because the story is real fun.
As someone who was pretty down on last weeks show because of the 'story', I wanna thank Mike for coming on and from the beginning taking on the hard questions!
They talk so much about the quality of the workers in the games industry but laugh about someone having to deal with Mike's fucking dumb shit. But hahah they probably had a good time dealing with it on an already literal shit paying job...
Literally the first response to the story is Abby expressing concern for the person that had to deal with the Mahardy Conundrum.
I will retract that at least Abby was the voice of reason... It just felt like a shitty story and a shitty experience for the person that had to clean it up. As a disability support worker, it's not fun having to deal with other individuals faecal matter so maybe I was just angry as someone on the other side. Did kinda go overboard so sorry to the staff if they ever read it.
