Dawn of the New World was such a let down. iirc I made it as far as Colette and just stop playing. Think I just went back to Vesperia and started up a new game.

The Xillia games are pretty enjoyable. I'd recommend taking a long break between playing 1 and 2. Xillia 2 reuses a good deal of content(monsters/Areas) from the first game, although there is a decent amount of new monsters and areas as well. Still I think story and combat are more enjoyable in 2. It was also fun to meet up with the old cast members after the events in the first game. It's kind of what I wanted from ToS 2.

@doughnutwarlord: Symphonia is a lot of fun, just be ready for it to be a bit of a slog and have a couple of quirks that remind you it's from 2004 (also I guess the PC port is a bit of a dumpster fire, but I believe there are some DSfix-like solutions to fix the most egregious issues.) I should state unequivocally that you probably shouldn't play its sequel. I'm a firm believer in the idea that you can sometimes learn more from bad pieces of media than you can from good, but you can get a pretty clear picture of everything that's wrong with Dawn of the New World by around the end of Chapter 3. Like, as a whole, I think it's a lot more baffling than it is miserable, and the plot goes full stupid near the end, but I was already writing this blog in my head by the 5 hour mark.

Actually the PC port of ToS is running pretty ok at this point. But I'd still recommend installing DSfix for the cut scenes though.

They didn't even bother porting Dawn of the New World over to Steam. Not really sure what the reasoning was, but I didn't care enough to look into it.

It actually might be Blitzball for me. FFX is one of my favorite RPGs and the idea of playing Blitzball again keeps me from playing it.

Blade from the Trails of Cold Steel game is also not great. Thankfully it's completely optional so you never have to touch it.

Nice, been wanting to replay this for a while now. Was just too lazy to go dig up my Game Cube to play it.

I used to build them back in High School. Sadly I lack the time and space for them now. Which is depressing since I have a stack of unopened models...

I wasn't going to back another Video Game related kickstarter... But the mere idea of another 2D/2.5D Castlevania is enough of a reason to change my mind.

Mustard is the worst, even the smell of it makes me nauseous.

I definitely didn't expect any Tales of news for a while. Especially not Tales of Xilla 2 or a Dual Audio for ToS.

Looks like I'm not putting my PS3 away anytime soon.

Oh, thank god! I was just thinking, the other day, how we just don't have enough crappy Star Wars and Star Trek games in the world. Boy, glad someone was listening to me! :)

Okay, I admit I am being kind of a jerk here, but . . . seriously, man . . .

While Obsidian certainly doesn't make the most mechanically sound or stable games, you have to admit that they've had a serious run of bad luck with shitty support from publishers.

I like Obsidian. I just don't have any desire for yet another Star Wars game. I mean, jesus, Star Wars is bordering on being the suffocating partner in a relationship who just will never go away long enough for you to miss them or appreciate their company. :)

Has there been that much Star Wars stuff released in the last few years? I mean, beside The Old Republic, I'm struggling to think of the last title.

I'm on a bit of a Star Wars binge at the moment, too, so I'm genuinely curious.

Regardless, as one of my favourite developers (yes, their games are buggy, but they are almost always trying to push the envelope), I am totally on board for another Obsidian RPG - especially in the Star Wars universe.

There was a Lego Star Wars 3 and I think some other online game based off the cartoon.

I would be extremely happy if this became a thing.
