I was fairly addicted to Skyrim aswell. I tried to start over with a new character after finnishing all quest lines (and a bunch of other stuff too) and decided it was time to stop. I've put 120 hours into it so I'm quite pleased with the value I got out of it. But still, there's no incentives to roll a new character. The outcomes are all basically the same.

Is the game really exactly the same with radically different characters? One of the things I loved with Oblivion was that the game was so incredibly different depending on your character. A thiefy imperial assassin vs. a little old lady mage vs. a hulking brutish Orc tank vs. a Bosmer archer...they all brought out a lot of different elements, and it was very rewarding to play through quests with each and explore options to complete objectives using the wildly varying strengths of each character. Are you saying that in Skyrim, all these characters would experience the main questline and major side questlines exactly the same?

There's a few choices in some quest lines, but the end result feels very similar in all cases. And it's often a matter of hard choices, and not a result of how you played during the whole game. I think your race is only reflected in some glancing comments from NPC's, nothing more than that.

But obviously the combat is a bit different. But whether I throw fireballs or shoot arrows on enemies isn't a hook for me.

Those are only my opinions, others might disagree.

My favourite depends on what mood I'm in altough it often comes down to this.

Beer - Grolsch (lighter) or Guiness (heavier)

Liquor - The Balvenie (sweet) or Islay mist (smoky)

Mixed Drink - White Russian (milky) or Gin & Tonic (fresh)

Wine - Red wine

Sipping a scotch while reading or playing a game is one of the most relaxing things I know. And yes, drink responsibly... as in, do everything responsibly.

Horrible idea. Buy it all at once, or don't bother. Also, the i5 2500k is the primary gaming PC chip out there. The guy who said i7 only, hell naw. Put the money saved into a better GPU.

Keep in mind the OP will probably wait a while before bying the PC, and that he wants a build that lasts a few years before an upgrade. Do you still prefer i5? I'm just extending what I've heard from others so I'm curious to hear your reason.

Also, yeah, don't skim on the GPU. That's a higher priority.

Photoshop

3DS Max

Steinberg Cubase

Premiere

... what? Oh games.

I highly recomend Battlefield 3 for some casual (or hardcore. Anyway you swing) multiplayer chaos. Also Starcraft 2, Team Fortress 2 and The Witcher. Most PC games tend to be pretty damn time consuming so only pick a few, for starters. I don't buy many games but I go back and forth periodically between the few games I have.

Once a joke becomes a meme, it's the opposite of comedy. The word itself should be a epithet for a destroyed joke.

... so they're all annoying.

So until new content comes out, I'm clean.

I love me some minimalistic and elegant design work.

This, however, looks like someone chewed on a box of crayons and then sneezed on a blank sheet of paper.

I agree with the people here, bying it piecemeal is a sad business. i5 was acceptable when I bought my computer about 10 months ago (i think). I don't believe anything less than i7 is wise at this point. Also, I think Norman Chan mentioned this on a podcast recently (on deliberating on the Jeff Green PC build).

Man I need to listen to the Tested podcast more often

They don't go into PC stuff as much as I would want but you could pick up some good tips now and then (though I think real enthusiasts might find it a bit shallow. Don't expect hardcore cooling and overclocking tips).

I realized it's more fun to play games than watch other people play them.
