@shtinky: it would not really that honest of a look at the game if they edited out or pre-prepared things that didn't actually show how shitty and poorly implemented a system of the game/console is.

Played over 200 hours of the multiplayer but the single player is not very good compared to the average 90s FPS game, it's difficult for me to understand why everyone is so completely wrong about this game.

My grandpappy used to tell me, "if everyone has a problem with something you are doing, maybe it isn't a them problem, maybe its a you problem." :)

The smoke grenade wasn't actually that useful. The only shot the roof people took was from the drone. Nonetheless, it was a smart move at the time.

That single handedly stopped the Disc from even trying to take a shot. I was fully expecting it to toss a grenade right in between those two dopes on the roof which could have changed things dramatically. It was actually an awesome piece of "accidental" strategy and showed how dashing and positioning soldiers can actually work out if you take advantage of the abilities of your entire squad in tandem.

I just really wish I could get excited about a platformer game anymore. People seem to love and cherish these things so damn much, but even as a kid I've never played a Mario or Mario-esque game that ive enjoyed other than SM2. Just the look and general feel I always get in my head of these things are as very well made "baby games," which I acknowledge is not true and my own fault, I just can't get into it.

@dan Can confirm, "Dorks" candy is a thing.

Weren't they called "Dweebs"? That's what I thought of when Dan was going there.

Man, Dan really knows how to get under people's skin (exactly what he has said numerous times he loves doing btw). Really doesn't bother me that much. It does get tiring to see it popping up in almost every single video, but whatever, its three or five minutes that can be skipped pretty easy.

Mediocre game with vastly dated visuals that has the gall to include loot-boxes in a $60 game, gets a MEDIOCRE SCORE. Also Shadow of Mordor won GOTY because there was fuck all to play that year. Anyone buying this game is dooming the industry to accept the trend of loot boxes in every game ever.

Even if you're the biggest LOTR fan, don't become part of the problem. There will be other games. Remember that online Passes were a short fad and died a quick death because no one bought them.

If this is what "dooms" the industry, I'm happy to have had a hand in it. I loved this game, beat it, and didn't spend a cent over the purchase price. Overwatch was my favorite game of last year, didn't spend a cent over the purchase price. This isn't Nazi Germany for gods sake where we have to be afraid of letting the evil get too wide spread or else it will be late to "take action." Its freaking video games.
