The Detective's Eye gets a bigger radius by increasing its grade. You've probably forgotten about Grade but its the number of duplicates of a shard you have and increases the power of a shard, upgrading the rank via crafting usually increases range/duration (The eye and some of the passives are exceptions where its power is its radius). If you want to increase the damage on heretical grinder you also want to increase its grade, but it means farming for duplicate shards (with LCK gear).
Theres also a few shards you can craft if you go all the way right in the crafting menu. Stuff like katana and greatsword expertise, and variants on some of the spell type shards.
I know its been 8 years since the Trine 2 quick look, but a lot of the stuff Brad is saying is new was in 2. Elemental arrows were an unlock on the skill tree. Skill trees also being from 2, as well as the Knight's charge. Wizard's blink and thief's roll are new, rope bridges new too. 3 Might be causing some confusion they removed the skill tree for that. Online multiplayer has been in all of them, although it was post-release for 1 and 2. Levitating each other in multiplayer has been possible, it might be a gameplay toggle or a skill unlock as it brute forces a lot of puzzles.
Its hitman distilled into a puzzle game. Maybe people arent being clear enough about the puzzle game elements but its the analogy everyone is using because its simple and accurate, the puzzles are hitman puzzles. You just don't have a sandbox full of puzzles to choose from, you only have a handful that fit in a small area.
Some real bad opinions on goose game, this happens too often with west when they can't figure something out and its kinda ridiculous when its something both simple and intentionally asking you to figure it out like Goose. Maybe just hire someone who can play puzzle games, the lack of variety of tastes and opinions is a real problem at West.

@bb4lake: The game is a lot more interesting now than the old days where you are just waiting on draws and energy, theres a lot more styles of deck you can build but I wish they took it further. Too many cards are just filler or collectables, GXs and Tag teams remove the need for evolution. I'd like to see them aiming to make all cards useful, and bringing in more mechanics. Its very hard right now to get a full decks worth of cards that can do something interesting and offer counters to things like Duffy's stall deck because most of the cards you will be getting are just filler.
I wish this was split into 2, a dreamcast special, and a ranking of fighters dreamcast special. If you ask west coast for a list of games on the spot like this you end up with a list of fighting games. I got bored by the end of this and we missed a bunch of dreamcast hits to see ports of fighting games that are everywhere. Which is something I enjoy sometimes in ranking of fighters but not this kinda medley format.
I don't remember which of these codes work and which don't its 50% from what I remember but "boundariescrossed", "plasmastorm", "plasmafreeze", "plasmablast", "legendarytreasures", "flashfire", "furiousfists", or "phantomforces". They all unlock a really old and kinda bad theme deck, but free deck and free cards so eh.
