@kawsylvania: It is a prequel to the events of RDR in that it takes place in 1899 and that some of the characters in RDR are in it but are much more focused on like Dutch. It is set in their version of the Deep South/Heartlands (Saint Denis is their version of New Orleans for example)
@scojoe66: That actually annoyed me more than what Abby said. I’ve played numerous games on my launch PS4 where the fan is loud but has never bothered me. Oh and him and Jeff harping on about the performance mode and graphics seemed a bit petty as well.
@teddie: The only time Giant Bomb got it spot on with the winner of that category was Nier: Automata last year so I’m not surprised with the way they dismiss it. I didn’t finish Octopath but the soundtrack I heard in it is bloody great. Interesting to see what they have in there for contention when it comes around.
@faridmon: They only got up to the start of April on this podcast and State of Decay came out in May I believe so it will be in today's one along with God of War and that.
Haven't listened to the episode yet but it seems like from some people on here that they are disappointed that the tournament isn't continuing and like someone said, Dragon Ball has several of them in the series so hopefully they get their fix there if they ever decide to go through that series, which I hope they do since I love the original Dragon Ball more than Z.
Personally I love the wrestling references during the episodes but I like wrestling although I can understand people getting a bit annoyed with it constantly much like I am with other topics they talk about on Bombcasts or the like.
Listened to this at work and quite enjoyed it but just curious as to why Alex wasn't on it talking about whatever like everyone else was. I just felt him being left out was strange considering that he was pretty much the first person after Jeff and Ryan started it to be on the Bombcast.
My bar is so low I just want this to be not as bad as last year.
It's better than the last couple of years, but it's still one of those games. If you don't like the core of what those games are, you're not going to like this one.
I skipped 2K17 and 2K18 since I was done with the main gameplay and I got this solely for the revamped MyCareer and Showcase modes and it still has the main problems I have in that your matches end up being reversal-fests and you are down for ages a minute into the match etc. Also, the submission system seems to be messed up or something in that I did a Tower against some of the Women and couldn't beat Paige in a submission match despite beating the crap out of her and getting her down to red or beyond.
@optix12: Considering the fact the same BBC did a Panorama special on video game addiction or whatnot a few years back and it just made the whole thing seem like video games are bad, not surprising they edit something to make it worse than it actually was.
Horizon and Zelda coming out in the same week was a bit of a killer for some like myself since I was looking forward to both games a lot. Horizon came first so I played it then Zelda but then I put Zelda aside to focus on Horizon and I didn't go back to it for another 4 months because I didn't feel the desire to go back to it until during the summer when nothing else was out so I can relate a little to where you are coming from in relation to Zelda.
Yakuza 0 and Night in the Woods in the top 3 automatically makes this the best staff top 10 list.
