IP@E3: Dragon Age: Origins E3 2008 Trailer

Sunday, July 13, 2008 by Kim

Start upgrading those PCs because you might actually be using them for games in the next couple of years. Diablo III, Spore, and now Dragon Age: Origins are on deck, and if you can't play them there is a good chance that you're going to be laughed at. Not just by your friends, but by the Internet, and believe me when I say this "The Internet is huge."

Here is the trailer for Bioware's new PC-only (you think that will stick?) title "Dragon Age: Origins." While the trailer doesn't show off any gameplay, it does a good job of showing you what the game world is going to look like. Swarthy men fighting scary orcs (or whatever they are), while dragons breathe fire. I could be down with this.

While I have no doubt that the game will be amazing, it's looking a little too much like a Lord of the Rings ripoff to me.

IP@E3: Project Origin E3 2008 Trailer

Sunday, July 13, 2008 by Kim

I have a friend that claims F.E.A.R is the best shooter ever. While I don't agree with him, I will say that it was a great shooter with some great innovations.

Freshly delivered from Monolith Productions and WB Interactive Entertainment, is a fancy new trailer for Project Origins. "Project Origin" is the sequel to 2004's F.E.A.R in everything except for the name. That means, don't call it "F.E.A.R. 2" or someone could get sued.

While the new trailer doesn't show off many new things, it does verify the fact that you are going to be shooting a gun, the girl from "The Ring" is in it, and you will fight monsters that can crawl across the ceilings. As long as it has those three things, I'm a pretty happy guy.

IP@E3: Dead Space Trailer Kills The Ones You Love

Saturday, July 12, 2008 by Kim

Oh EA, you really do know how to squeeze the most out of the pre-E3 hype machine. Just released is the brand new E3 Exclusive Trailer for "Dead Space," entitled "Loved Ones." For those not familiar with the name, "Dead Space" is the futuristic survival horror game that is set in space, and has tons of freaky shit going on. That's about all you have to know about it to know that it's probably going to be pretty awesome.

What is impressive about the "Loved Ones" trailer is that it is created by none other than Mr. James Wan, the mind behind the Saw movies. Wan has proven time and time again that he knows how to create something that looks stellar, and he manages that with the new trailer. Dudes banging their heads on shit, hanged bodies, and a tagline that reads "Sometimes you have to kill the people you love." Yes, yes we do.

The release of the trailer has us wondering about something though. Is James Wan involved with Dead Space in any other way?

IP@E3: Mortal Kombat vs DC Gameplay Trailer

Saturday, July 12, 2008 by Kim

We're officially excited. There has been much speculation to how "Mortal Kombat VS DC" was going to play out. Horrible crossover, or ingenius move by the minds over at Midway and DC. From the looks of this video, both companies should be poised to take a boost in franchise excitement. Both could use it, and if this doesn't work out, it's almost a guarantee that Mortal Kombat might be singing its last song.

While it doesn't show off any new characters, some of the gameplay elements look pretty amazing. Scorpion and Flash fighting into the depths of hell, fighters carrying each other through walls, the ruined city of Metropolis. It's all in there and it all makes me want this game more.

IP@E3: Rock Band 2 Gameplay Video

Saturday, July 12, 2008 by Kim

It's the weekend before E3 and that can only mean one thing. Trailers, trailers, trailers. It's all about getting a jump on the competition, so I'm guessing that today and tomorrow we're going to be seeing quite a number of exclusive videos hitting the Internets.

About an hour ago, EA released the following video for Rock Band 2 which doesn't show off any new gameplay enhancements but it does show off some pretty nice new visual transitions. It's set to "Everlong" which we reported was coming a few weeks ago, and it looks like an absolute blast to play.
