Clearing a quest where I had to defeat four boss monsters with a party was a lot easier than I expected it to be, despite not having any party members to help me. My character was level 11, and the bosses were levels 4, 6, 11 and 12. I did run through quite a few healing potions when I was fighting them, but still, no big deal.
Played this game for the first time in almost two years. After the crushing disappointment that was KOF XII, I went back a step to what I consider "KOF in its prime" (keep in mind I've only played '94, and all the games from '99 onward) - a decent-sized character roster, a fast pace, and plenty of things to do outside the main game modes.
I'll still curse the name "Magaki" to my grave, though. Who at SNK though it would be a good idea to develop a boss with ridiculous Beam Spam abilities? It's kinda hard to defeat a boss if you can't even get near him. After about six tries, I was able to do it (this is even with his health cut in half).
I could have taken the opportunity to steal the food stash from the villagers of Spree and bathe in their blood, but I declined to do it, for two reasons:
1) The Overlord is human, too (kinda), and
2) I might get something better for it in the long run.
For the next portion of my "zero corruption run" (I'll do a 100% corruption run later), I'm trying to decide whether I should investigate the castle next, or find out what those stupid elves are up to.
I'm curious...how exactly do you add brand new pages to the wiki on this site? I'm familiar with editing small chunks of it, but I can't find the "Create a New Page" link. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough?
I've got a crazy-long backlog, but still I feel compelled to keep up with what's new and hot. Hence, my purchases of Bayonetta and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom while I'm stlil sitting on Borderlands, LittleBigPlanet and Dragon Age: Origins...
