I understand but I just want to have a good time and not really think on how to improve to much. I don't care if I don't get better, just want to have fun. I'm not a fighting game fan in general Honestly MvC2 and the Mortal Kombat series are the only games I really liked prior to this.

I just realized the random player match (not rooms) allows you to rematch. Seems like a good way to keep playing against someone who you had a close fight with.

Thanks for the info, I might see if I can still find one. I really enjoyed the demo, but still stand by my original statement that making me preorder or miss out on content before a demo or reviews are up is insane to me.

Also I havn't checked this board in a month... surprised this got so much notice. Thanks :)

Why do you think games like this only end up with the hardcore, because anyone who isn't very good gets matched against people way out of there skill range. Why can't a company pull a Starcraft 2 and stick the newbies with the newbies, and the advanced with the advanced.

Sure there is a "same" ranking setting for ranked games. Though at 15-42 I get matched against guys who have over 400 matches, I just played someone who was 365-38!! It's not even fun getting juggled non stop and having no idea what's going on. The player matches can be a little more even, but even then there is no telling who you get. I set up a "Beginners Only" room for 8 people, then some guy with like 500 wins comes in an schools all of us over and over, not very fun!

For those who will say "Go learn to play" or "Losing is how you learn"... Sure maybe to some extent, but why can't it match us against similar skilled players only. Not everyone has time to sit in training missions. I just want to hop on an enjoy a few fights that are close. I don't mind losing, but losing when you have no chance is not very fun.

Maybe I'm wrong, this is my first online fighting game. I really really want to keep the game and love it, but for now I'm mostly playing against the CPU since the matching isn't good enough.

Not a discussion on quality or if you like EA or Bioware or any of there games. So don't bother with the "OMG butz they dumbed Mass Effeects 2 down no RPG elementz" crap.

I remember all the booing when EA acquired them like the quality would suffer, can we just take a minute to look at what they are releasing in a 24 month span if nothing is delayed. So those big guys "swallowing" other devs isn't always so bad. Creative talent + EA muscle and marketing = Success! Just something to think about, these are no small games either.

- Dragon Age
- Mass Effect 2
- Dragon Age 2
- The Old Republic
- Mass Effect 3
- Oh and they threw in a bunch of DLC an expansion to Dragon Age, and porting mass effect 2 to PS3

I"m kinda starting to think Greg and Ray are some crazy robots from the future or something...

I know they are not really tied together, just in terms of time spent for amount of enjoyment. I bought Fallout 3 when it came out but after about 15 hours I fell off. I'm almost done the main story but didn't tackle much of the side content, or any of the DLC.

I heard New Vegas has a better main storyline and able equal amount of bugs etc. I will say the DC setting in 3 is a lot more appealing than Vegas. Is there stuff to do outside the city in New Vegas?

Thanks.

I think voices are a great thing for a gamer like me. I realized long ago playing WOW when it came out and a few years of Everquest that MMO's are kinda a waste of time. In the tradtional grind levels, get loot, rinse repeat. Once my brain realized spending time for virtual items is pointless, but amazing interactive stories actually stay with me. Sure WoW has lore and story but it's not compelling or engrossing to me. Voices and Choice make a game so much more compelling to me. I'm personally going to be playing these as more of big single player game. I'm super excited at the addition of voice!

I do agree with many MMO players having short attention spans. After 10,000 hours in a game or whatever crazy amount people put into these things you want to burn through stuff FAST FASTER, not my style but I'm sure you can just skip through the dialuge if your palying alone.

So I wanted to buy this game Day 1... i can deal with token things as a preorder bonus. An actual companion and real content now locked out since I didn't preorder 2 MONTHS ahead of time? In this day in age you don't need to preorder anything, best buy or gamestop will have a bazillion copies. I've been avoiding everything about this game since I'm still working my way through Origins, so it was good to know when I wanted to go preorder now I'm too late!

This is just absurd, I know hardcore fans don't have anything to worry about but you basically lost a new game sale to me. I'll wait for a used copy to make up the difference that I now have to pay for this DLC. Why not just make it like when I bought Mass Effect 2?!?? It didn't matter I bought it brand new a month later, I still got my code for all the day 1 stuff. Now I can understand why people pirate this shit on the PC.

Seriously that has to be the dumbest thing ever. So if a person from China decides to go on a killing spree tomorrow, we go to war with them? Doesn't make any sense...

Seriously this game just doesn't hold up anymore. I thought it was awesome last year but trying to play the single player again... Yah I get the "story" but it's just so mind numbing. There is no shock factor when you try to shock the player every 5 minutes.

Seems a few manufactors at CES think we have a need for this. Last time I checked only about half of my Blu Ray's are in "ultra widescreen" the rest are that regular 16:9. Games are only in 16:9, and so is TV. Seems like a really niche thing to me, I rather have the black borders on top and bottom personally, it's more natural than having black bars on the sides of 90% of what you view.

First 3D now this... I don't think any of my tv channels are even true 1080P so why are they forcing new stuff already.

Often in RPG discussion and on this forum I see people saying "I'm playing Paragon, or Renegade" then they go through and min/max the choices for the "best" game or Shepard. Anyone try to take a more realistic approach?

For example my Shepard can be a ruthless cold bastard to people outside of his crew, but still for the most obvious situations he does have heart. He won't let that Quarian go into battle only to be slaughtered, and he makes sure that stoned Volus got some help. Though get in his way your getting pushed out a window. He's a great guy to his crew, helping them if they need it but still flawed and doesn't always make the right choices. I figured a "real" Shepard wouldn't have time to help everyone with there problems, so while you miss out on a few side missions and it caused some guys to get smoked in the end mission it was cool to think that he wasn't perfect.

Of course it's fun to play a "perfect game" to see verything, but I'm going to take my flawed Shepard into ME:3... anyone else?
