So, a while ago on... I believe... the Beastcast, someone (Vinny or Alex?) mentioned a game that I've been googling to no avail since. Here's what I recall; does anyone remember what game this is?

1) I believe it was on the Beastcast. Maybe the Bombcast. Possibly I'm in the wrong forum and this was Waypoint.

2) It was a kid-friendly point-and-click adventure game the male podcaster speaking had been playing with his kid.

3) The art was scribbly and kind of Ren-and-Stimpy-esque. The main character, I believe, was a black scribbly blob?

4) The main character interacted with the world by the player clicking on stuff and selecting a verb like "Lick".

5) I believe the goal was to get some sort of food (cheese? a cherry?) and there was an antagonist who was also trying to get it.

6) The name sounded something like "Chu Chill" or "Cha Chill".

I've got a long weekend coming up with an bright little kid who gets bored easily plus an infant to watch. I was thinking this might be a good time to introduce the older to the world of video games, since he could use some new excitement in his life... and get creative about destroying the house when he has nothing to do. Any terms I can think of to Google aren't getting me helpful results, though... anyone know what I'm talking about?

Ditto on the Chromecast. Haven't used it in a while, but just set it up tonight, it downloaded a bunch of updates, then I successfully watched YouTube with it. Giant Bomb doesn't work with it, though- if I use the little button in the lower right nothing happens, and if I hit the button in the upper left the TV briefly goes gray and displays the name of the video and then gives up and goes back to displaying Chromecast wallpapers. (awfully hard to use the top-left button, too, with the video playback scroll bar on top of it)

Ah, solved the problem. The login was silently failing because my password contained a comma.

So, no help needed, although a possible bug report of "your mobile site doesn't escape special characters in the password correctly but your website does". (unless both the apple browser and mobile Chrome are to blame)

I've got a Giant Bomb account and I can log into it from my PC just fine using my account name and password. If I try to log in with a smartphone- my wife's iPhone or with Chrome on an Android phone I just got, for example- it just says invalid user account or password.

Anyone know what's up with logging in with smartphones?

Yeah, I was about to post about Ellipsis. I assume just something about how GBEast is formatting their video files isn't playing nice with the Roku codecs or something similar.

I've got a Roku 3, and the audio is de-syched for me on the latest This Is The Run and Blue Bombing, too. Just those videos, so far, and only via the Roku- I don't watch via the website, but I tried playing them on the site to see if I experienced the same problem and they played fine.

On the plus side, it's been a long time since the issue where the video stops playing and kicks you back to the menu at a fixed point in the video, so it's nice that that's gone away or into remission.

I can't find the link to it anymore, but somewhere on the forums there was a code you could stick in the Roku to get the "beta" Giant Bomb Roku app. If the (updated?) normal player doesn't work for you, you could try digging up the code and seeing if that one will play your videos. That worked for me the last time the normal player just stopped working.

Right now, I've got two versions of the app installed- "1.2 build 2" (what I think is the normal one, whose icon just changed in the Roku channel) and "1.3 build 1". (which I think is the "beta")

Hey, that worked! Thanks!

Now to see if it keeps going or if I'm going to have to keep doing this every 5-40 minutes...

Ok, I'll give that a shot. I've definitely both tried starting from the beginning and skipping past, but I'm not sure if I tried them in that order. Thanks!
