After scouting the web a little, I found that they are creating a trilogy out of the Assassin's Creed Chronicles series that originally began with China. The side-scrolling Chinese variant will be followed by an Indian one and later a Russian title. So, all these historically Eastern countries being approached by western empires would create a game-changing plot and an opportunity for a shift in mechanics due to architectural differences would be refreshing, but they are relegated to side/mobile games rather than the main console/PC games. Just imagine running around historical Indian cityscapes or Chinese locales. They approach the subject of an Indian Brotherhood of Assassins with Henry Green in Syndicate, but I would be stoked to actually explore his Brotherhood's location. Possibly even more so with the idea of Western and Eastern cultures clashing in the background of the storyline.

I was considering the previous installment, Assassin's Creed: Unity, and its plot based in the French Revolution. This latest installment, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, takes place in London's Industrial Revolution. With these two revolutions in mind, it only makes me imagine the next annual title in the Assassin's Creed series will focus historically on the Russian Revolution of 1917 in either Moscow or St. Petersburg. Although I have read information (1,2) about the possibility of Assassin's Creed Japan and counter-information from the developers stating that Japan is essentially a bland topic for the series, the latest AC titles for the PS4/XB1/etc. have been rooted in a European setting. Could the next metropolis that we visit be a Russian one? What are your thoughts? Does anyone have any news or information to suggest otherwise?

I thought this was cancelled long, long ago. It's just been so.... quiet. Also, anybody know how the in-game transition from Metropolis to Gotham is going to work out?
