I just want to say that I am a Drew convert. I started following Giant Bomb well after Whiskey Media days and the Sausalito stuff, so I never thought of Drew as an intern folding shirts. To me Drew was always just "the video guy who helped Vinny". And I'll be honest, sometimes when he was on the bombcast I would think to myself, "Meh, Drew seems alright but I'm getting kind of bored of his non-games discussion".

But the longer I watched the site and the more bad puns I endured, the more Drew grew on me. He always comes across as professional, smart, and kind. He's grown on me so much that I honestly have a hard time picturing what Giant Bomb looks like without him. I have no doubt that many amazing moments would not have been possible without Drew in the control room, quick with the transitions. No offense to Jason, of course, who has been doing a great job.

But that's life, right? People move on, and things change. And we obviously haven't seen the last of Drew; he will be stopping by as a guest every now and then. It's still a bitter pill to swallow. Thanks for all the memories, Drew. No matter how many times you frustrated me while playing Metal Gear, I relished every second of it (and I think the blame partially falls on Dan for that anyway). I'm sure the sentiments I'm expressing have been said by a million people before me but I had to say something, so I hope you'll forgive me if my words seem derivative or by-the-numbers.

Love ya Drew, don't stay away too long.

Drew is a KGB spy, hiding out at Giant Bomb until gamebomb.ru takes over everything.

Why would you pick R U Mine over Do I wanna know? I mean, R U Mine isn't bad, but that song is THE song of that album.

You guys really think MGS3 will be that much of a problem for Drew? I found the game... not easy, but not that hard either. The game is really good about giving you lots of options, through CQC, tranquilizers, camo, etc. I failed a lot in the game but it was only because every time I got caught I let myself die (Yes, I'm an idiot). Even when you get caught in the game, enemies aren't that difficult. The boss battles are also a serious step down from previous ones in terms of difficulty. I think he'll be just fine. I kind of hope they don't do Peace Walker next because that game is boring and the bosses are all fucking bullet sponges. Although if Drew doesn't play it, he'll be confused for MGSV... They should play Revengeance though.

@memu: Wait what? Just because P.T. Is a teaser for another game doesn't mean it isn't a game itself. It has mechanics, graphics, etc. it is totally a game.

And how is bayonetta 2 the "same game" as the first one? Don't be so hyperbolic, man.

I agree with some points carolyn petit brings up, but I disagree with her point about the camera. She believes that bayonetta is ogled by the camera, but Bayonetta has a very thin relationship with the fourth wall. There is actually a move bayonetta does where she spins around and then winks at the camera. I can understand how it is seen as "male gaze", but I think Bayonetta is fully aware of the camera, as a character. The camera is part of the story, and Bayonetta taunts it. At least, that's how I see it.

@jadegl: Why would you even subject yourself to that? Are you a really obsessive Assassin's Creed fan? That seems like a ridiculous amount of effort for a few more cosmetic options. And shaving cream is such a weird choice. You'd expect mountain dew or something like that.

I'm just so done with Ubisoft's shenanigans at this point. Derivative, uninspired, quantity over quality open worlds are all they know. And their uPlay integration is ridiculous. They should just stick to 2D games like Rayman and Valiant Hearts.

@kanerobot: I wouldn't take off work to play a game but don't blame consumers for companies fucking up. There have been plenty of smooth multiplayer game launches.

Never played this game. Hope it gets a mac release. I've been craving a good SRPG for a while.

Well in film, you can shrink the aspect ratio to make the viewer feel claustrophobic. I'd imagine that this effect would be heightened in a game because we are directly interacting with it. However, I think having the aspect ratio like that all the time would be too much. I'd like to see devs play with aspect ratio and change them depending on the situation.
