That was my college experience too, Brad. I'd usually start a paper the night before, get up early the day it was due, write it, and print it off minutes before the class. I graduated so it worked out.
Pretty much the list I expected from Dan. Figured a couple of the games might be a little higher on the list than they ended up. I watched all of Dan's Stardew streams and am currently playing the XBOX one version.
I was just in my local GameStop yesterday to trade a game in and get some Disney Infinity stuff that was on sale. Was also checking to see if they had a couple old, used games on sale for cheap. Got everything I wanted and one other thing was really cheap. Decent experience overall. I was the only one in the store and there was two workers in there. I saw an ad for this game playing on the tv behind the register and the workers were at one point talking about how GameStop is making a game. This was before I saw this article so I didn't know anything about it. Looks like the website for GameStop is already taking pre-orders for a Summer 2016 launch window with a price of 15.00. Glad to see they are allowing it to be sold digitally since that's most likely how I will buy it. Seems a bit dumb and wasteful to sell the 15.00 game on disc though. Makes me think they are going to end up having a lot of copies of that game around kind of like used copies of Sneak King are still everywhere.
I always enjoy it when Dan's Dad comes around. Glad that he was rested and not hungover as well. It can be funny on some things but it would get old if he was that way every time. Good game choices too. I thought Jason's game was going to be Rocket League. Would be nice if Dan didn't loudly belch into the mic a few times like he does. I get that he's trying to be relaxed and casual but it bothers me a bit. I broke a light once with one of those pull down power cords so I was worried when Dan started messing with it. Sounds like he almost hit it.
I like hearing the stories of how they played games when he was a kid and how his dad getting him a console at a young age really helped set him on the path he is on. Don't agree with Paul that Dan will not be able to keep up with game tech in 25 years though. Looking forward to Danswers.
Kind of nice to see they aren't all doing 24 hour streams. Working all weekend on nights so I'll miss most of it live but will definitely watch the archives over the next week or two. Will donate for Team GB on Sunday. Best of luck to everyone and thanks for doing this every year.
