@gaff: I don't have a PS4; but if it came to PC I'd absolutely get this game. I knew nothing about the Yakuza series before today (or actually, before the QL Jeff did last month), but it looks fantastic.

Strong start to this series.

I do wish Dan would slow down with the dialog skipping though; he's going way to fast for my eyes to keep up with the text.

@dr_mel: Not many guns in Japan outside the police and military; basically only a handful of grandfathered-in hunting rifles. No legal handguns.

I'm totally fine with Dan, or anyone, not understanding quantum theory. I'm not fine with him not understanding the basic concept of adventure games. And I can't believe its actually true that he doesn't.

The first 30 seconds of Pit People I was all in; everything after that convinced me to stay far away.

That Yakuza game looked pretty great though. I've never played any of the series so I knew nothing about it. Shame its PS only.

I disliked basically everything about the original Nier except for the voice acting of the magic book and the really bizarre background for the game (being a spin-off of the hidden 5th ending of Drakengard, an ending that makes no sense in the context of that game; not that anything really made sense in that game).

Nothing else appealed to me; especially not the gameplay. But I also thought the story was hot nonsense, and not the fun kind.

Did he say "these jobs" (plural) at one point or was that my imagination?

Oh gods, is this Sunday/Monday issue going to infect all GBE content from here to eternity? Dan, you're right, but stop bringing it up.

Game itself doesn't look great.
