What if, - and stay with me here - they embraced the "run fast and deal with it" ethos of Mario 1 by making it so that whenever Mario gets hit, instead of getting bigger or smaller, he just drops all his coins, and if he can scoop them back up he's ok, but if he gets hit again with no coins, that's when he dies?
I know that Monster Hunter World does not rate with GB East, but not mentioning the game as a "tentpole" release for the 2018 winter season, much less for the PS4 platform is kinda dismissive. It sold so well, it's Capcom's best-selling game, a tentpole release for them. Also, for the short-while in Japan, PS4 consoles were sold out everywhere thanks to MHW.
I just want to say (and state the obvious), Austin is an awesome DM and has the patience of a saint. I feel that Austin doesn't hold Dan's hands too much at all. It's more like he's encouraging Dan to express himself and Austin adapts to whatever Dan can think up. I think that's what makes a good DM.
Wait... there are people on here that thinks PUBG is worse than Andromeda? lmaooooooooooooooooo
Also, this is GB's Game of the Year. Not Polygon's or Waypoint's or whatever. You can disagree, but this is still their fave.
The honest surprise for me was Nier. I really thought this would not crack the top 10. Hypothetically, if Nier wasn't in their top 10, I'm not gonna go ballistic about it; I'll laugh and move on.
