I'm still pluggin away at coding but in between, I've become totally hooked on this iOS game called Draw Something. It's like turn based pictionary where you draw something, send it to a friend, and they try to guess what it is you drew. Then in return, they draw something, and you guess. Not too complicated. Anyway, I've fallen off the deep end. There's a limited amount of ink so in some weird way, they're like timed drawings since as long as you're constantly drawing, you'll run out in around 10 minutes. The first time I hit this wall, I was unawares (Conan) and didn't really finish -_-;; I think the reason for this limit is that the recipient watches the draw take place on their end so I have to assume the file size of the draws might get a little large.

In any case, here are a few of my draws with words =D If anyone else plays this game and happens to have any cool screen grabs, I'd love to see em.

It's almost in order, you can sorta see me getting more and more ambitious as I unlock more colors and realize I can actually use the thing to draw. I think my current favorites are Caveman, Frodo and Frog. Oh, and Knee -_-;;

These are crazy good, especially considering it's all just finger-drawn. Makes my best-of look teeeeeerrible.

Your first, and worst picture is better than anything I and everyone I play with has ever drawn on that app.

Anyways, I actually hate that app because I'm awful at drawing, and whenever I play with people they usually just write out part of the word, completely ruining the game.

This is amazing. You've actually done quite good in these. Is there an Android or PC version? I'd love to give it a shot. :)

Unless that app requires me to draw "Badly Drawn Penis" it's gonna be a waste of time for all involved.

@Red: I also played a lot of Depict and it feels like the writing of words happens more frequently there than on Draw Something. Mostly because you play with a lot of random people on Depict. I haven't really run into that issue on Draw Something because I only play with people I'm actually friends with IRL and my friends aren't cheating whores =P

Seriously, if you ever want to learn anything in Montana, move... just move. I warn everyone now. Education here is worse than even big cities. All you need to know here is how to farm and shoot guns. The sheer lack of education promotes this. Sadly.

Is that on an iPad? I can't imagine finger drawings that incredible on a small screen.

@Jay444111: Haha, I'll make a note of it not to move to Montana then -_-;; Never underestemate self teaching! What programming and drawing skills I've got is self taught through books and online tutorials on youtube =P

@Origina1Penguin: Yup, on an iPad. I play on my phone too but I don't try anything too fancy there. Just Kanye type stuff.

@Cirdain: I would pay for the ability to layer in this game. I'd pay double for an undo. Even just one step. I'd also pay for zooming, lock transparency, opacity settings. . . They could microtransaction the hell out of me with this game. I'm just lucky they limited it to buying color packs (of which I bought $3 worth)

@ZagZagovich: There's actually a cap to how many ppl you can play with (20). If they ever bump it up or get rid of it, and this game is still a thing, I'll def add you. Otherwise I'd have to remove someone -_-;;

I usually just got pictures of dicks when I played.

@doobie: iPad for the detailed ones and iPhone for the black and whites. I'm considering trying out a stylus to see how much easier it is but I think I've gotten pretty used to using my fingers. The only problem is that my fat fingers cover the surrounding area of where I'm drawing so a lot of times, I'm doing lines sorta blind.

Awesome drawings, but I would really hate playing with you. I'm not watching for 5+ minutes before you get to something that I could actually guess.

@StrainedEyes: There's much truth to this. Though, I tend to paint out the outline in broad strokes quickly first then start adding layers of details so in most cases, I think people should be able to guess what it is in under a minute. Also, 90% of my draws are real quick and dirty, I only do these when a word is something I wanna spend time drawing =P

So is it like Flockdraw, but a game?

That is ridicuously good. And not even just in terms of the art; some of them are cool conceptually as well like the Caveman and Vader ones. Very impressive.

I've seen various draws appearing on random sites lately =P Though, besides the "concept" that I chose to draw those scenes based on the word I was given, they're all existing pieces -__- Though I do sorta try to do something different than what I see most ppl doing on instagram for common words. Remarkable, to say the least. I take it that most of these you drew on an iPad, right? I can't imagine getting every detail down on an iphone, though I'm sure you do as well on the phone as you do otherwise. But, really, all of your pictures look awesome -- keep drawing!!!!
