I ran into an annoying Bug in AC IV PC version, that still hasn't been fixed, so no, i'll wait.

I also ran into plenty bugs in ACIII, and Splinter Cell Blacklist. My entire save file for Blacklist just vanished one day, forcing to me refinish the game, and unlock all of the multiplayer items.........i never refinished it.

I love the AC franchise, but i'll wait for the horror stories to get resolved before i plop down money.

What you mentioned about Blacklist happened to me aswell. Uplay is a horrendous client that wipes out save files out of the blue and I am not sure why. It is probably fixed as of today, but I really dislike Uplay because of this, amongst other things.

As for getting the game on release, no. I will get it someday, but not right now. Same can be said for Far Cry 4. Dragon Age: Inquisition is the only game on release I will be getting this year. And next year it's all about The Witcher 3, just thiking about that game makes me smile.

I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas on Xbox 360 aswell and they both had issues with infinite loading screens and game crashes, New Vegas more than Fallout 3. I didn't notice the stuttering at the time, but on PC with 60 frames per second it's very noticeable. Trying New Vegas on a Intel i5 3570k, 8GB of DDR3 memory, GTX 680 2GB and Windows 7 64-bit ran it fairly good. An i7 5820k, 16GB DDR4 memory, GTX 980 4GB and Windows 8.1 64-bit runs it worse. This is most likely due to premature drivers and software related issues, but please take notice that I am a very picky person when it comes down to graphics/performance.

  • Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas runs on whatever they feel like and both are unstable, meaning random game crashes, infinite loading screens, random framedrops etc. The most noticeable is the stutter because of the bad engine they use. I found out that running an older PC with windows Vista or 7 will run the game better than a new PC with Windows 8/8.1. This could have changed during Windows Updates or driver updates however. Just make sure you don't force the in-game Vsync off or use desktop 120/144Hz because this will break the game engine.
  • In terms of Standard or Ultimate Edition, the latter is the best version because of all the content they give you. Also most of the new stories are fairly good too. Though I wouldn't necessarily pay $20 for it so wait until it goes on sale, unless you really want to because it gives you a lot of content.

Since this is Ubisoft I wouldn't be surprised if components lower than the minimum requirements would run the game better than the actual recommended requirements.

There is a line on how much gore, brutality and grotesque violence I can hear & see. And with the perverted violence aside, for me this game looks just like horse manure in terms of everything. Not my cup of tea.

So let me get this straight: When removing the motherboard out of the case with or without components it works? But when putting it in the case it doesn't function? Are you guys sure it's not the board that is short circuiting because you have put too many motherboard standing screws? If one screw doesn't pop through the whole of the board, but instead under it, it will crash the system and can damage the motherboard.

Only with a modified nv.inf file, but what issues are you running into exactly? I've read about an instability with the 980 if the system has 32GB of memory installed. Is this what you have? As a basic troubleshoot I would start with a BIOS update, if you haven't done so, and doing a clean install of the latest driver. Also if you are using one of these "gaming" cards that's been factory overclocked you want to make sure it's stable, if not try downclocking using software, e.g MSI Afterburner. The default core clock on a 980 is 1126MHz.

A Steam Client Update was released on 14th August 2014 that changed the UI and fixed a lot of issues, including performance improvements to the client itself. In this update this particular issue with Flash Player has now been fixed for me and if you're having the same you should update Steam (updates automatically) to see if this fixed it for you.

So you want the extra work developers put into the re-releases for free? Yeah, good luck with that buddy.

Has happened in the past so it is not alien. It would - at least to me - create a better relationship between consumer/developer. But I see your point.
