Great Video Game Soundtracks # 1: Halo Wars

Remember when Microsoft showed us the first trailer for Halo 3? I don’t think that I am wrong when I am saying that a majority of the fans got goose bumps when the piano started playing and Master Chief made an entrance. That was a great song, no doubt. But do you remember Halo Wars? That was incredible!

Go easy on me now. I am not saying that Halo Wars is a better game the games in the main trilogy. I think that Halo Wars have a story that is ten times better then the three games combined, but the overall experience isn’t really on the same level. But you know what is? The soundtrack! Halo is known for its fantastic music but I kind of feel bad for Halo Wars. The game is pretty much nothing for a lot of people now, but I had a blast listening through the soundtrack and down below you have some great examples of probably the best Halo related thing ever.

1. Halo Wars OST: Bad Here Day

The second track of the official Halo Wars soundtrack might pretty much be the best song of them all, all four games. The track has a very Mass Effect feel with the well-known choir and piano that pretty much defines the Halo music. Overall the track is a pretty good example of how this album really sounds.

2. Halo Wars OST: Spirit of Fire

Spirit of Fire is the menu music from Halo Wars. If you ask me, I pretty much think that this is the best menu music in any Halo game and that trilogy sure does have some awesome music. Also, I love this track because of the sadness, it is a beautiful sad song.

3. Halo Wars OST: Fingerprints Are Broken

Fingerprints Are Broken is a fantastic song. It may be a soundtrack for a video game but the overall quality of this three-minute masterpiece is very high. It might be my third favorite from the soundtrack disk, but still this is one of the greatest Halo tracks ever created. Why? Because of the damn piano and the choir of course!
