I want to keep this short because I really want to hear your Kinect stories. So, I was very sold on Kinect and after the launch day event here on the site I started to get a little worried. After six hours with Kinect, here’s what I think about it.

First of all – it works perfect for me. I got about eleven feet of space and the Kinect is about four feet of the ground. It works great but I got a lot of trouble at the beginning when I got a lamp on in corner. I don’t know if it’s relevant at all but the lighting I used when playing was pretty much light on each side of my bed (as you can see on the picture). What you are not seeing on the picture is a couch and a table the opposite side of the bed. So it is pretty dark in the room although the pictures are turning out just fine and the face recognition totally works. And as you might know, we Europeans do not have all the voice control stuff. 

The Kinect hub works great and I don’t know, it feels like it’s a little quicker then what we saw when Ryan and the guys played around. I have just played Kinect Adventures jet and I like it, I really do. I showed it to my mom and she was incredibly stoked about it. I really haven’t found any trouble with Kinect other then it totally lost my hands at sometimes after five hours. Also, the camera was very, very hot! First impressions – it’s great and I do think that we will see some masterpieces on the console.

Also, I am a pretty sporty guy and Kinect Adventures made me sweat and that’s also a great plus. Of what I’ve seen and played of the other games – they totally suck, unfortunately. But I really think that you guys should go out and buy Kinect with Dance Central because it will make any party a lot better. I will have party on Friday I think, I’ll be back about thoughts about the Kinect in room with a lot of people!
