PS3. :) --- 360 is good. My friend had his 360 die twice, then got a PS3. He loves it mostly because he notices no difference in online play except that for xbox, he was out sixty bucks a year.
P.S. -- Web browser for porn.
P.S.S. -- I know the computer is good for that, but my parents know how to check history on that and would be suspicious if the history was deleted. They're too old to work a PS3 though! om nom nom.
Medal of Honor is great. Resistance 2 co-op is okay, but Resistance one is much more fun. It is just playing through the single player campaign with two people. R2's is so confusing and frustrating. R2 online is fun however. 60 player battles. MAG is excellent. It is matchmaking . .. I think. You will ALWAYS be on the same team as long as you both join the same team (Raven, Valor, SVER.) Headset is extremely helpful in MAG. Worth it especially now that it's $30. Medal of Honor, MAG, and Killzone 2. All great.
I would go for it. I am a member and have already gained my $50 back plus some more. If you didn't buy much of anything, there is plenty there for you. I have it on a separate PSN account, so my friends can benefit from it. Just recently there was Burn Zombie Burn for free. It's fun and it saves you $10. Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare was $7.99 instead of $9.99 (for plus users). Two extra bucks in your pocket. People complain that free games will be unavailable if you don't subscribe again. I'd rather get a $10 game for free and have it taken away after I've gotten my play time out of it, than buy it and spend $10 on a short-lived game (mushroom wars -- fun, but don't play much.) I signed up specifically because they give 3 months free with a 1 year subscription.
I dislike the map . . . . and the game. I still play it just because it's fallout, my friends have it, and it's a new game. Everytime I play I find myself missing fallout 3. I beat Fallout 3 one time, but restarted upwards of 12 times. Every time I replayed, I found something new (weapon, location, quest) and wanted to explore. If I wanted to go into D.C., I would be afraid to. It's dark, it's confusing, and full of super mutants, raiders and ghouls. In NV, I can walk across the map and not worry about shit. I don't like that. Too easy. I tried to find the Gibson Scrap Yard . . . oh what a treat. I know exactly where it is now, but the first time, I found Hidden Valley, Black Mountain, Helios One, and a bunch of radscorps and centaurs around scorpions gulch. Why? Because I can't get to the top of a hill or a mountain. Invisible walls. In Fallout 3, it was very clear: Turn around, you can't go that way (map border). Or 'Hey! this subway crashed and blocked this entire tunnel." "This building collapsed and blocked the whole road." When you see those things you don't even think about trying to get over them. New Vegas also has too many bugs (even after patch), and the different currency is crap. $NCR, Legion coins, and caps. How about just caps? ----- One more reason why I like Fallout 3 better is because people in that game seemed unsettled. They just tried to stay alive. There's no gun companies or anything. It was like they weren't used to a post nuclear world, but it was slowly becoming the norm. They say stuff like, "I've heard stories about a magical place with trees." or "I have never seen a deathclaw." In New Vegas, it's like "I fought some deathclaws on my way to that abandoned vault. I saw two people get crucified." It seems way too normal. I don't know what I'm trying to say . .. . I do actually . . . .. you might not, but I do.
My best strategy worked perfectly. I had no companion. Find a rock that you can jump to. There is one at the entrance to the quarry by melissa (before you enter the actual quarry or meet her) and there is one on the edge of the center ring of the quarry. Jump on one of these rocks and start shooting. Your indicator will say DANGER, but all the deathclaws will do is run left and right, forward and back. I took down something like four deathclaws, five young ones, and the mom and the alpha male . . . all with a hunting rifle. If you just wait until you're hidden again after shooting, you can get sneak attacks and take them down easily. If a deathclaw manages to attack you on the rock . . . . it's not the right rock.
I love MoH single player and online, but this really pissed me off. I have to drop out of games because someone is playing music or relentlessly dishing out racial profanities. British dude comes in and is pretty cool. American dude comes in and rips him apart because he's British! I'm sure British guy, me, and my friend would have stayed if we could have muted this guy. TIP: If you don't want to drop out because of a headset abuser (and you don't care about your standings in a virtual world), have some fun with team-killing. :)
I for one don't feel like buying another multiplayer game I've seen 3 times before. I don't care about the zombie mode . . . that's why I have Dead Rising 2, because it's a WINNABLE zombie killing game. Medal of Honor online is really intense. Besides, why would I want to make Activision anymore money? Killzone 2 / MAG > Medal of Honor > the helicopter game > Call of Duty.
Medal of Honor online is addicting. I could not get in to BC2 because of its overall feel. I don't know what I mean by that . . . . . Anyways. MoH has a great single player campaign even though it is short. Making some Taliban dude's head literally explode with a .50 cal? Good stuff. The online is like the baby of battlefield and call of duty. Personally, I think they should have handled the online themselves. Graphics are far better than MW2. Just because MW2 is popular, does not mean it is the greatest multiplayer. It means it's a game that requires enough skill to sit in a corner and push a button. MW2 players would do fine with MoH because they feel the same. If MW2 players switch to Killzone 2 or MAG (mostly KZ tho), they would DIE. I've gone from Call of Duty to Killzone and/or MAG and failed horribly. It took a few hours to get the hang of it. Then, I went from Killzone to Call of Duty. Domination. Call of Duty is a game that any child can pick up and whoop your ass because you are actually running around instead of camping while they are just camping. ---- Killzone 2 and 3 are / will be great because of dedicated servers, INCREDIBLE graphics, and INTENSE gameplay in single player and ESPECIALLY online. I admit to being a killzone fanboy. Even though I love it, I have all of the call of duty games. I need a wide variety of multiplayer games. Happy Word EMPHASIS Day. ---- Oh, and I love MoH.
