Saying AC3 is a good game is like saying sleeping with homeless people is a bit like camping.

@Will1Lucky: I agree with you, they would never give up the rights. But for a one or two game deal, this makes a lot of sense for both parties.

Considering the recent Disney buisness, Star Wars is going to be a big deal again in about 3/4 years... the perfect length of time to create something half decent game wise. Does anyone think EA and Disney might be negotiating a new singleplayer Kotor right now?

It makes sense for EA, it would go a long way to reinvigorating a company (Bioware) they payed a lot of money for, regain some goodwill... and more importantly cash in on the movie hype.

Given Disney's game ambitions, they must be looking at Star Wars and eyeing up Kotor and X-Wing vs Tie fighter as what were considered high points and looking to revive or replicate them? Disney get to tap a still reasonably well regarded name in games for the tie in, with considerable knowledge of the franchise and a built in assumption of quality not qenerally associated with a Star Wars game.

If you aren't super pumped and need to get a game day 1, this is the only version people who are educated about games should pay full price for.

Off the top of my head,

1. Deus Ex

2. Day of the Tentacle

3. Elite

Although next month I may put Simcity in there or something... my list changes depending on what genre I'm into at the time.

@FunkasaurasRex: When I grew up in the UK, childrens TV was thick with amazing content. Of course there was the same grey sludge shoveled at us that you describe... but there was also genuinely great stuff too. I choose to remember that.

I'm not asking for these games to be made by the way, it was a simple thought experiment... Who would be able to do it well.

Having watched the Thundercats quicklook, I was reminded how few good games get made based on cartoons from our childhood. What Developer do you think could do justice to the cartoons you watched as a kid, and what cartoon would you like them to make a game from?

I'd like to get Suda51 to give this a go... because the themes in this cartoon are kinda messed up

And maybe give Double Fine this... just because it would be amazing.

An MMO where one faction play as the character classes, the other can take control of mobs in the world and have total control of their movement and abilites until they are killed, then they can move to anywhere in the world and do the same thing. As you level up on the Mob/AI side you gain the ability to possess more powerful creatures. If a mob is not under player control it behaves exactly as any mob in any MMO.

Kinda an MMO left for dead. Raids would be exactly that... where you would enter as a group normally on one side... and the other side would enter and try and grief and make it difficult to complete on the other.
