Games

Singularity: 

I finally beat, well like a week ago. As most of you know the game has three endings, only one I thought was really dumb and I guess that would be the "good" ending. I

thought it wasn't as cool as the other two endings you can see. The later game stuff was probably the best I though in terms of "go here murder everyone then go there". I really liked the game, I got into two sessions of online play and got into a late game and didn't do too much. But got into another one in which I DOMINATED! So overall, it was a great experience. Activision, let Raven work on a sequel!!!!
 

LittleBigPlanet: 

Yes, I've still been playing this game. Though, I am getting tired of most of it. But the "lols" are still very abundant. I'm just feeling like I'm getting to the point where I've "done it all".

Infamous

I beat this game again this week. I beat it on my old PSN account. Great, great game. I will hold my ground when I say that this is the best game to ever come out on the PS3. I WILL FIGHT!!! Almost every single thing in that game I'm in love with. The world feels so alive and I really like the Cole. I'm starting up an evil play through this weekend to try and work on the plat. Even though I hate playing as evil characters. I beat Fallout 3 over ten times, never once played as a bad character. I had full good karma every time. 
 
 

Sonic Adventure

I've come to the conclusion that I like games that are panned by reviews. Cause I really like Sonic Adventure. I also really liked Fairytale Fights, Dark Sector and a few others. To me I've always picked Sonic over Mario. (but I will admit Kirby trumps them all). I enjoy the games, even if they are crazy bad. Even though I can point out the very bad design choices, I can't stop but having some serious fun. The one time I yelled "FUCK THIS GAME" was in the last boss battle when I fell through a floor and my jumb didn't register and I died. So yeah.... 
 

Games to Come

Naughty Bear

I've had this at the top of my Q on Gamefly since July, and they are finally, FINALLY sending me this. From what I've seen it looks to have some great style to it. I'm not turning away from this game cause of its reviews. I play games to enjoy them, not to pick out every single flaw. 
 

Sonic Unleashed

I've rented this three times from Gamefly. Each time I think it's going to get better. Maybe the third times the charm.  
 

Outside of Gaming 

Bowling

I've been bowling well lately. Bowled two 700s series this weekend, which brings my total amount of 700s to 6. I could have bowled great on Wednesday, but because I've been bowling non stop, my arm DIED! And I couldn't throw or lift the ball by the third game. Feels better now though. 
 

Movies/TV

Watched Winter Passing this week. It's a older movie, but it's pretty great. Not much happens, but it's the type of movie that my family would hate, but I love. Will Ferrel is great in a serious role for once. 
 
I've been watching Supernatural as always. I have to watch it every other weekend though, so my mom can watch them. Since I got her into it now. I feel like writing a GIANT blog about it. I tend to rant a lot about it on twitter and I want to share my thoughts on the series with you peeps. 
 

Conclusion

Haven't done a real blog in what seems like forever so here's a good ole fashion run down on what I've been up to. Enjoy.  
 

Games: 

Mafia II

 I beat Mafia II sometime in the last two weeks (can't pinpoint the exact date) all I know is that it was on a Thursday. Kind of want to talk a little big more about it. I think it might be my favorite game of this year so far might spark your interest. I just really enjoyed the story. Some of the later missions were, shall I say, hard and kind of bad. The spike in difficultly left me perplexed. I hardly died during my whole 9hr play through, yet in the last three or four missions I'm just getting iced over and over again. But I won't let that distract me from a otherwise great time I had with Mafia II. The main characters, Vito and Joe, keep the story flowing nicely and makes for a great ride.  
  

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010

 Yeah I love golf. Not sure if you guys could ever tell or not. Golf games are a good time to make me think I'm actually really good at golf, my virtual self can do it

amazingly well, but me. I shot 5s on par threes. After hating this game for some time, I blame it for being too real. (This is my first current gen golf game. The only one I played before this was Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005, which is still the best golf game ever in my mind). I like it when you can make impossible shots in a golf game, it makes it a tad more fun and overall crazy. But once I got the hang of it, I started having a blast with this game. I've had it for awhile now and have beaten two "seasons". On the third one, I'm trying to win every even in a single year. It's tough. I already have the in game trophy for winning every event once. But now I'm working on getting 100% on the challenges, and it's been brutal so far. But I'll definitely stick with it. I'm at 50% now I think. Plus, on Sunday's and in Majors Tiger is INSANELY hard to beat. God dammit.
  

LittleBigPlanet

 Yes, I'm still playing this game. Mostly with friends though. And when you get a mic it's a fun game, which is weird cause it's already so drug addiction like fun. Don't really have much to say about this one, other then yes, it's still awesome. 
 

BioShock 2

 When I say this, I mean the multiplayer. I've been playing it a lot, not as of late though, with my friend Danielle. I never really got into it at all when I had it back in July. In fact, I kind of hated the multiplayer :/ But when you play with a good friend, it makes it pretty damn awesome!! Except when you get put on different teams and stalk her like a ninja and kill her over and over again :3 Or you meet a kid like Greenx10 who asks every five mins "IS ANYBODY THERE!!". And has the worst connection ever so you can't shoot him. Prick. 
 

Singularity

  This is a fresh game for me so far. Just got it on Thursday. And I'm liking it a lot. The shooting feels very good, you get lots of goodies in which to murder monsters and Russian pricks. And the game is awesomely brutal. Shoot guy in head, blood spews out of his neck >:D. But the shooting does feel amazing, like I said. The assault rifle in this game, might be the best one I've ever used in the game. I'd rather much go with that and the shot gun over all the guns that work with E99. They aren't very good so far :/ But I'm loving the story, I mean it opens with the bad guy telling your character "You haven't aged a day in 50 years" (dramatic music). When the games picks up some momentum, it's one of the best games you'll play this year. But when it gets hard, it can be super frustrating.  
 

Movies: 

Social Network 

I saw this the Sunday after it came out, and we impressed by the 97 (at the time) Metacritic score, but like Uncharted 2, I had to think to myself whether it could live up to

the hype. And the movie is pretty damn impeccable. Every scene, perfect. Every line delivered, perfect. Every performance, perfect. Jesse Eisenberg, who has been one of my favorite actors for quite a while now, KILLS it as Zuckerberg. It's his career defining role. When you see the movie you'll understand, it's hard to say how great he does in this movie. The little facial expressions he gives other actors sometimes says more then any line delivered in the movie. While it's a 2hr long movie, I want to watch it every damn day. For once a movie that, and lets be honest, everyone kind of hated on turned out to be one of the best films to come out in the past couple of years.

  • Got Just Cause 2 and Star Ocean from Gamefly.
  • Disliked both.
  • My town had their 100th street fair, it was okay. Realized I have very little friends.
  • Played a lot, and I mean a lot of LBP with my friend Danielle.
  • Recored our first podcast, but decided it was too bad to publish. We had fun but yeah.
  • Rented some Mafia 2. 
  • It is pretty damn good, absolutely love it.
  • With how much talking there is in the game, the voice acting is stellar. 
  • Found out a lot of people in my class think I'm a genius.... I'm not.
  • A girl in my class thought my name was Jared. Now that's all she calls me. She won't stop.
  • And now it has caught on.
  • Thought Sonic Adventure was better than everyone said.

What is this and what are you talking about!!

 I've been talking to a few of my friends lately on doing a podcast, since we're all pretty good friends (granted we only know each other through the internet). I got the idea after we all played a 2hr session of LittleBigPlanet and had a fucking blast!  
 
From what we know now, it'll be called the Awesomesauce Podcast. It will consist of gingertastic_10 (me) Daniellev21 (twitter), rgoff31. They are my friends from over at PS3Heroes. Dani and I could probably just do it by ourselves, since we can talk for a long time about nothing, but rgoff31 seems to be the smarter of us three when it comes to games. He's the vet! And will hopefully keep us on topic.
 
Not sure when we're going to start it up, it'll be next week hopefully. But it will range from video games to comics (that's Danielle's department) to probably just random conversations about one another.  
 
That's really all I know now, we're still working on getting a site up and running so we can have a page to host all the podcasts. 
 
I'll try to post more as we figure more of this stuff out.

He's what I've been up to in this busy week. 
 

  • Started college on Monday.
  • It went well, I do like it even though it's soaking up all my time.
  • 90 pages of reading on the first day :/
  • Finally got around to beating Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
  • So surprised by that game. When I first heard about it I thought it was dumb as shit.
  • Also so surprised on how good this game looks, holy shit!
  • Rented Kane & Lynch 2. 
  • It's okay. I can't say I like it too much.
  • Also rented Sonic The Hedgehog. 
  • I regret doing that. 
  • But I'm still a Sonic fan!!
  • My dad blew my mind on how he bowls. 
  • His arm and elbow are flat when he throws it. All his hook (which is a lot) is generated at the bottom of the swing with his wrist.
  • I cup my wrist and elbow to generate my hook and revs so I was a little surprised.
 
So that's it really. College is soaking up almost all of my time. I'm enjoying this weekend.

Sup my GB friends, here's the latest on me gingertastic_10. 
 

  • Got Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing from Gamefly
  • Played the FUCKED out of Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing.
  • While playing online with All Stars Racing, three people wanted to add me and asked me if I was a girl.
  • Why you ask? Because of my Fat Princess avatar.
  • I have since changed my avatar.
  • Played some PoP: The Forgotten Sands.
  • Was very impressed. I didn't have the highest hopes for the game.
  • Realized that game looks, really, really good.
  • Bought Shank at 8:20pm. It was done downloading at noon today :/
  • Really like Shank. Some of the best animations I've seen in a downloadable game.
  • Starts college Monday.
  • It's making me too nervous >:O
 
That's what I've been doing for the last week.
