Well...here it is If you like hearing me rant about MW 2's greatness, and how i'm liking DA: O, and what I plan to do for my GOTY awards then....WATCH....
So yesterday I began playing my new copy of DA: O for the PC, and I am absolutely loving it. Im maybe two-three hours in, and it is amazing. The art style is great, the story is brilliant, but the audio is the greatest ever. Better than Mass Effect even. The sound effects are great, the music is epic, and the voice acting is like an academy award winning movie. The cinematics are great, and create some epic moments reminiscient of stuff from LOTR. I cannot wait to really delve into this action packed game.
I'll say this. If you like KOTOR and Jade Empire then you'll like this. Even if you liked Mass Effect you'll like this. Get it .
I've played games for a long time, and I've played all of the greats from Starcraft to Half Life 2 to GTA IV to WOW to Resident Evil 4, but now here we are with Modern Warfare 2, the most anticipated game of the decade, will it live up to its expectations, all the hype, all the drama surrounding it; was it worth it???

Visuals: Best multi-system graphics ever The visuals are astounding. The environments that are created are really amazing, whether its debris flying through the air, or snow, or fire and smoke, the engine manages to keep up with it all the way. The cinematics look like something from Saving Private Ryan, and feel really..really epic, to say the least. The character models are excellent, and the facial animations are just as good as Resident Evil 5.
Audio: Excellent voice acting, and amazing sound effects The voice acting is the best non-bioware voice acting I've ever heard. Keith David should get a video game oscar for his role, because he is excellent, even better than Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Oldman were in World at War. Not to mention the ones returning from MW 1 are also very good. The sound effects are astounding, and the radio chatter is especially moving, as you hear gunfire over the radio, along with really realistic crackling sounds, and call signs.
Gameplay: The same good ol stuff The game is once again very smooth and sleek feeling. You really feel like a professional this time around. You are made to feel like a beast who has a huge arsenal of weapons at his hand, and you are able to dispatch your enemies with them handily. The guns feel excellent when shooting them, and some gun additions like thermal scopes, and being able to have a shotgun and auto-fire on the same gun, really deepen the gameplay. New weapons like the predator missile add a whole new dimension to the gameplay.
Story: You can never catch your breath The story is really excellent and well thought out. People have made a fuss saying that the gameplay was designed before the story, but I don't buy it. The dialogue is really good, and the twists in the story are excellent and will keep you guessing at every turn. Whether you're with a submarine, climbing cliffs, waving flares, launching missiles, sniping from helicopters, or looking at earth from space, then you are in for one hell of a ride. The ending is a really great cliff hanger remincent of the previous game, and there will be a "modern Warfare 3".
Campaign: Very Well broken up The campaign does an excellent job of keeping you focused with the gameplay. They give you tools to use, but you really get to use them, take for instance the predator missile, which comes in handy quite a bit. There are also a lot of moments that really showcase the maturity of Soap's character through the years, and how much he's learned from Captain Price. There are so many differnet sequences that the campaign isn't just shooting guys while aiming down your sights. Infinity Ward made a brilliant choice to make it single player only, because you would lose so much to the overall experience if you had to play this alongside a friend.
Special Opps mode: A brilliant set piece that adds ten times as much to the game than Nazi Zombies. Special Opps mode allows for cooperative gameplay, with some brilliant ideas, such as a Horde Mode, a bomb disarm mode, an escort mode, and a kill the enemy without killing the civlains mode. These modes are really excellent and are great fun especially if you don't feel like cracking open the multiplayer on a given night.
Multiplayer: People will talk about it Ten years from now This multiplayer needs to take a shit on Halo 3, because it blows it away in every regard. The perk system has been expanded. The customizable killstreaks add a lot of variety to your bonuses, and the death streaks are great ways to keep noobs interested in it. The maps are perfectly designed with just the number of sniper positions. The customization options are really mindblowing, because now you can literally play just to fit your preference, you don't have to just run and gun, which allows you to approach game modes like a chess match using the right pieces at the right time. The greatest part of the game.
Whether you want a thrilling story, with production values of a hollywood blockbuster, or an addicting multiplayer that you're going to lose sleep over, then Modern Warfare 2 is the game for you, and not just you but anyone who plays games. MUST PLAY MUST OWN GO GET IT!!!

I truly believe after seeing the launch trailer today for Modern Warfare 2, that there is absolutely nothing stopping this game from becoming one of the all time top five greats, or maybe the greatest game of this decade. The campaign looks absolutely stunning, with no bumps in the road, I can't imagine where it will take me, and how the story will progress, all I can say is I CANNOT WAIT FOR TUESDAY!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!
Okay, so as I was preparing to watch the Giants get crushed by the Eagles yesterday on FOX, I see this trailer for a movie, Avatar, which I knew was written and directed by James Cameron, so I'm like "WTF...I'll watch it and see what its all about." HOLY SHIT!!!. It looks amazing. I cannot wait. The CGI looks breathtaking, and the story will always be there with James Cameron. Just watch this trailer. The battle at the end looks ridiculously epic...in every sense of the word.
So whada think??? Pretty awesome right?
Well gaming wise I've just been playing Madden, i might play some ODST later this week, and then I'm just holding down the fort till nov. 20th when MW 2 comes out. I cannot wait for that game. I am so stoked.
In other news Boderlands came out and it was generally well recieved scoring nothing but 4-5 star reviews and 8-9 scores. I read Game Infromer's review of DA: O and it sounds pretty amazing, so I cannot wait to play it. Also I need to see how AC 2 and L4D 2 turn out. Some good games are coming out.
Okay... so I already preordered MW 2, and thats a done deal. Nothing you can say including shitty reviews will keep me away from that.
Now there are three games I'm contemplating getting towards the end of Nov...(one month from now) I can only afford 2. All three genres I like equally. I know that two of them aren't out yet, but based on predictions. What would you all say. Assassin's Creed 2- I played the first one, liked it alot, and this looks a trillion times better. Borderlands- Everything I've seen of it looks pretty damn awesome Dragon Age: Origins- This game has slowly crept up my radar, and looks effing awesome.
Okay well Friday night (seven days ago) my parents and brother were out for dinner at my uncle's house. I stayed home because I had a nasty flu. They come home to find me passed out, and delirious.
They proceed to take me to the hospital, where the doctors have my parents thinking I have incefilitus ( 50-50 whether I live or die), or menangitis. The only way to determine if I have those diseases is by a spinal tap. (Basically sticking a one foot needle into my back) Well...
Well...three doctors and one hospital later they finally got it...after fourteen tries, nine of which I was wide awake for.
PS I don't have incefilitus.
I go home the next day (SAT), sleep. PS I can barely walk from having 14 needles stuck in my back.
The next day some friends come over, we watch football, i still feel like shit.
Monday I feel like bigger shit, so I go back to the hospital.
After waiting in the emergency room for ten hours they finally diagnose me with a severe case of sinusitis. (Sinus infection).
I need IV antibiotics, and will need to stay in the hospital for three to four days.
Not until Wednesday did I begin to feel better.
Finally yesterday (Thurs.) did they send me home, and I still feel like shit.
But my friends all pitched in and bought me Halo 3 ODST, so i've been playing that today, and beat it.
The worst part is..I can't read anything up close. The Opthomologists think that's because my brain's still under all the stress from the sinus infection. So I can't catch up on school work.
So yeah...I'm trying to get better, but I think I've just had the week from hell..
I also have been playing Madden 10, which I like. I'll review that and Halo 3 ODST later this week...
Anyway...I'll try and get better, and maybe put a vlog up for those of you who give a shit about my life and games.
With Modern Warfare 2 being my most anticipated game of 2009, and many other people's what do you think the main plot of the game will entail?
We all know that Soap MacTavish is your leader, and that you play as Roach, both of you are a part of a special task force.
The main villain is Vladimir Makharov, an associate of Zakhaiev (the villain from MW 1), but Zakhaiev was the one who controlled Makarov.
IW has revealed that game takes place in Russia, Afghanistan, and Rio De Jenerio, but I have this gut feeling that something happens in the US.
The Modern Warfare 2 World Premiere trailer shows a hostage rescue sequence in snow covered Castle.
My Prediction: You piss Makarov off, and he attacks the US capital building and takes a powerful US political leader hostage, and its your job to go rescue him in that Castle. By Piss off, I mean the way you piss off Zakhaiev in MW 1. You probably end up foiling his plans for the takeover of Afghanistan, and he retaliates by attacking the US and taking a President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Senator, or Congressperson hostage, or maybe someone is running for President, but is in Congress.
Now that's my prediction about what will happen. I doubt it will be true, but if it is, then we can expect one hell of a single player game.
