I played the Left 4 Dead demo on my Mac, and loved it. Great pacing. I've also downloaded it for my 360, and will play that later. Valve is so incredible, and this game looks amazing. I'm going to have so much fun with it.

I saw Quantum of Solace last night, so here's my IMDB review:

The Bond Ultimatum

The Bond Ultimatum. I say that, because it is almost as if the guys at MGM saw the Bourne Ultimatum and Realized that it was a better action movie than any James Bond movie. They tried to take Quantum of Solace in the same Bournesque direction.

The movie starts off around an hour after where Casino Royale left off, and I found the story much easier to follow. The story also made you feel like there was more at stake, and that Bond's actions had a greater affect on the world. Bond is bringing Mr. White (The guy he shoots in leg at the end of Royale), to be interrogated by M, and MI6 cronies. White informs MI6 that his organization has people everywhere.

Daniel Craig is excellent again as Bond, but he doesn't really begin to develop his character until the end. Judi Dench is great as always, and the rest of the cast does a stellar job.

This movie has a lot more classic Bond elements to it than Casino Royale. Inhuman stunts, impossible feats, and of course gadgets. It is very gritty for a Bond movie, and portrays Bond as more of an Assassin than so much as a spy. You will see a dark side to Bond that we've never seen before.

You can tell that Marc Forester has little experience in shooting action movies, because the action sequences are basic copies of the Bourne Ultimatum. There is a car chase that is very similar, and a rooftop chase that is almost a shot for shot exact copy. One of the really great actions scenes isn't done with live action effects, but instead uses CGI, and you feel that Forester is using other Movies and CGI has his crutch. The action might have been more entertaining if you didn't get the whole "seen it before", "Been there done that" sense with the action sequences The action is really entertaining, and nonstop. The longest dialogue sequence is less than five minutes, because there is so much action going on throughout the whole movie.

Quantum of Solace's strong point is that it has a perfect Runtime. Around an Hour and Forty Five Minutes. It's not to long, it almost feels longer, because so much happens throughout the movie.

Quantum of Solace is not as great as Casino Royale character developmentally and emotionally, but it fills those holes with some entertaining action sequences that are good at times, yet sometimes feel a bit familiar, and it's easy to follow story that puts a lot at stake.

Today in school I was going to lunch, and I saw that a Marine Drill Sergeant was inspecting the JROTC kids. One kid had not worn his uniform, and the Marine guy got in his face  and said, "YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO YOUR COUNTRY AND THE ROTC CADET."
"I'M SORRY SIR!"
"YOU SUCK CADET! SAY IT!!!! SAY IT!!!! YOU SUCK CADET."
"I SUCK SIR."
"NOW GET YOUR ASS OUT OF MY SIGHT AND NEVER COME BACK TO THE ROTC AGAIN."
The kid walked away laughing.

Later in the day he made a girl cry.

Then at the end of the day the cadets were doing an exercise where they toss the weapons around. One kid barely mishandled the weapon, and the Marine yells. "STOP YOU LITTLE SHITS! NOW YOU (pointing to the kid who mishandled the gun) GIVE ME YOUR GODDAMN GUN! (The kid hands him the gun) THIS IS JUST A GOD DAMN WEAPON! IT IS A PIECE OF WOOD! DON"T BE AFRAID OF IT! LOOK IT AINT SO TOUGH (He hits it against he knee, and breaks the gun). CADET GO RETRIEVE YOURSELF A NEW WEAPON!

I had to walk away because I was laughing so hard.

Pretty funny, so I thought I'd share it with you all...

Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States, unless something horrible happens to him, then it'll be Joe Biden.
I feel so horrible. I know that Obama was a horrible choice for America, but it will all turn out okay in the end .
If Obama was the leader we deserved then we got it. Hopefully I'm wrong about him, and he turns out to be Jesus.

I feel so bad for McCain.." The faliure is not your's, but mine." When really it was our fault. That just shows how much character he had. McCain deserved the Presidency more than anyone else for what he endured for our country. He was running because he knew that he was better for America, and he wasn't running for himself....that poor guy. He'll never get a chance to run again at the office which he so much deserved.

Whether or not Obama's incredible  we'll make it through these tough times for our country.



Any guesses for what Obama's "test" will be, that Biden promised us?
I bet Russia invades Ukraine around April or May, and they'll do what they did to Georgia....since Obama said Georgia needed to show restraint, not Russia.....

Happy Halloween...I ran around my neighborhood with my friends, and I 'll recap the night. We went to a bunch of houses that left candy out...we took all the candy from each house. We then went into one house where i guy was in a robe, and there were two hot blondes sitting on the couch in their bras....so um...my friend says..."Sorry to interrupt." The guy laughed and gave him a shitload of candy. We then ran into my bro and his friends, but we ran away, and hid from them, and then we jumped out and they freaked out. We played a bunch of COD4 and Fifa 08.

This morning I played two demos. One was incredible, and the other I hated:
Mirrors Edge...I am now hyped beyond hyped for this game. I am going to have to completely rewrite my gaming list. This looks amazing. The graphics weren't anything special for 2008, but they were up to par with Half Life 2. The action was really cool and unique. The basic premis is that you run around rooftops, and jump all over stuff like ramps, air vents, bars, ledges, and pretty much any other thing, but it actually requires skill on your part. it isn't like Assassins Creed, where you just press one button to move from place to place, but instead you have to time it, and press different combos of buttons. It very ingeniously tells you what to jump on, by coloring the objects red when you get near them. If I ran into a thug with a gun then I would have to disarm him by timing it correctly, when his gun turned red. The story looks interesting, although they didn't really give much to go on. They just tell you you're part of a special orginization that runs along rooftops stealing stuff from the authorities, and you don't get caught. I would highly recoomend this demo, because this game looks amazing, and is now on my must buy list.

The other demo was Tomb Raider underworld:
I couldn't even finish the demo. There were targeting control problems. The camera was horrible. Laura's animations were really inhuman, and it wasn't really a shooter. You didn't have to shoot the guys, you just had to target them. This looks really horrible, and I'm not even going to bother with it lol....

Well sorta. Today I was going to the Gastrointerologist for my stomach, and my dad had to grab something from his office, so I waited in the car. I was listening to Fox News, and while I was listening, I heard that there was a high speed pursuit taking place in Miami (I live about an hr. north of Miami.) I changed the channel to see what the Stock Market was doing. My dad comes back out, and I tell him about the pursuit. He turns it back on and I find that the guy is still heading north towards where I live. We pull out of his office parking lot, and we call my uncle who was heading to the airport, and could potentially pass the chase. He'd already gotten off, so he didn't see it. We pull onto the highway to go north to the doctor, when I turn around in the car, I see the robber get off where we just got on. The robber then supposedly drvies through my town into my uncles neighborhood, and was finally apprehended by Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach Police. It was so cool.

At the doctor they can't figure out what's wrong with me, and they think it's stress, but they're doing a gall bladder test monday morning, and then an endoscopy friday, so i have a ton of medical test being done.

Gaming wise. I'm playing Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, and COD 4.

Wow...I passed out in school today, so they sent me home, and I've been having more stomach issues. I rested for about five hours and then I started playing Civilization Beyond the Sword. I've always loved the game, but this one mode called "The Road to War" is incredible. You can play as any country in Europe, or the US. It starts in 1936, and basically you have to fight world War II. I chose to play as the Soviet Union, because I recently learned that they lost 50,000,000 in WWII. I now see why. I stopped playing now, to eat something, but I was being attacked on three fronts. And on one front I was attacked by three different armies. I now really see what all these countries went through in WWII. It is really hard. I'm constantly having to hurry tanks, so that a city doesn't fall. It is really crazy, because you are fighting with your navy, air force, and ground forces. The thing is that the navy is amped up in this game, so a Destroyer can linger offshore, but it can bombard your units as they attack a Nazi city. All the war and peace conditions are the exact same as the real WWII, so you cannot make peace with nations. I would definitely reccomend this game, just because of these awesome modes.

Now I am doing my list of games I want, that are out (in order of most wanted to least wanted, but still want)

1. Dead Space- It looks amazing from every review I've seen, and I really love those type of games that are different than the average shooter
2. Farcry 2-Looks awesome. I love open world stuff. The multi players looks pretty good, and it just loks very groundbreaking
3. Fable II- I've heard awesome things about it (thanks to Vinny's incredible review)
4. Fallout 3- It'd be higher, but I don't have all the time to invest in that right now.
5. Command and Conqueror Red Alert 3- I love RTS's, and I'm looking for something good to play in that Genre, and this looks good.
6. Saints Row 2- Looks fun, but not great technically.
7. Spore-Just want to play it so I can say I played it lol....

Now games I want that aren't out:
1. Call of Duty WaW-The beta is awesome, zombie mode looks incredible
2. Gears 2-well....its Gears
3. Left 4 Dead- LOOKS AWESOME....VALVE KICKS ASS
4. Mirrors Edge- Looks like one of those games that comes in under the radar, and just blows you away..
5. Endwar- Seems really awesome from the demo.
6. Lord of the Rings Conquest- This is my sleeper, and Steve agrees with me.

Not much, to answer my retorical question.

1) Gaming wise I put Windows onto my Mac, and it is incredible. I downloaded the demo for World in Conflict (2007 alternate history RTS Soviet Union vs. USA), and I absolutely loved it. I put CIV: IV and CIV: IV Beyond the Sword on my Mac, so I can rent CIV: IV Colonization, and put it on here. The next game I'll get might be Command and Conqueror 3 Red Alert, which comes out on Oct 28th, and looks awesome. The 360 stuff I'll save for my birthday. I will definitely get Far Cry 2, maybe Dead Space, Probably Fable II, and Fallout 3, if it gets good reviews. I'll then get COD WaW the day it comes out, and save Gears 2 for my b-day. Gamefly should cover the rest.

2) I am so happy that there is a new KOTOR MMORPG. It sounds interesting, but we'll see how it turns out. My bro started playing KOTOR II yesterday when we heard the news, and we're both pretty siked for it.

3) I am still enjoying Age of Booty, COD4, and COD WaW Beta. If I'm on XBL, definitely Message me (giyanks22), and we can play some Age of Booty.

4) Starcraft II looks awesome from the interview Brad had with the Producers. I cannot wait for the game, and the 3  game idea is starting to grow on me. When the Blizzard guys explained it, it seemed really great. I am going to get really...really addicted to that online once it comes up.

5) Game portrait.com is starting up over the weekend. I know that  James, Stephen, Steve, and I were all working on some pretty sick stuff for the site. Definitely come and check it out.

6) In regards to my next VLOG: I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. I might talk a little about stuff, and then give you a tour of my room (what player 1 did once, and I liked it), because I just got really nice new American flag sheets, and window treatments, and I want to show someone how nice it looks. You'll also get to see how tricked out my room is with Yankees stuff, Mickey Mantle balls, signed pictures by Joe DiMagio, and Mickey Mantle, Mickey Mantle Cards, Derek Jeter Signatures...and you can see all the books and other crap I have in my room....NOTE I HAVE A LOT OF BOOKS....
