I noticed this in the Quick Look when Jeff first opened the map. Kind of made me laugh when weeks later, news articles were like, "DOH! IT'S THE SAME MAP!"
But, I guess that's a testament to how well they modified the environment. If it took this long for the general populace to figure out it was using the same height map, then the game has done its job well.
If there's an option in a game, odds are that somebody's going to take it. Doesn't matter if it's a major split in the story, or if it's a minor FOV altercation in the settings menu. The player's use of such options will lead to the player evaluating the option. "Did I make the right choice?" "What if I used the grenade launcher instead of the fire arrows?" "The music is too loud. I'll turn it down." Maybe you didn't choose that option, but someone else did, and odds are that they'll have something to say about it that's valid.
If some options turn out to be better than others, how does the game facilitate those options to players? Does it take more work and/or tedium to choose options that lead to a better experience? Are some options useless because they take more effort for less gain? Why so?
It depends on your intention. Are you using the accent to stereotype or demonize an entire group of people? If so, that's probably offensive!
But if your intention is simply to imitate, to pretend to be like someone else, then that's just being playful.
Making an accent is often done for a comedic effect, and let's be honest: comedy is hard. There are many factors that go into whether or not making an accent is offensive, and it's your job to figure out if it's ok to say something in a different accent before you actually do it. If you play fair, then most reasonable people will think its funny. There will always be some uncompromising people on both sides, for sure, but if a good portion of your audience reacts badly, then maybe you need to evaluate what it is your doing and why it's rubbing people the wrong way.
I've taken selfies before, but I don't do it on a regular basis, so 'no' is my answer. I'm too conscious of how I want to appear in a photo to just whimsically take pictures of myself.
Not sure how, but my old Blackberry Pearl's mini USB charge port was bent beyond recognizable. You couldn't plug the cable in, but even if you could the circuit board was totally cracked and broken on the inside, rendering the phone dead.
