I've long suspected this was coming. While it may have had nothing to do with it, when she got the new office to stream from, I was pretty certain she was gone. Damn near posted a thread in the forum asking if anyone had heard of her leaving a solid month ago.

Super bummed to see Abby go. She's been one of my favorites. She played off everyone else's humor so well. Loved the variety she brought to the site. Always hate seeing people leave. Wish nothing but the best.

@temg99: Pretty sure part of the CBS deal with Whiskey was that Jeff maintains control of all Giant Bomb content, past and future. Jeff should be the owner of the archive.

I feel you, man. I wanted to wait for my subscription renewal credit to buy one. Sadly, they were gone before I got it. And I still have the store credit because they keep teasing about getting more coins in. They aren't going to get more coins, are they. =(

I'm glad this thread got started. I feel like it's the very core of the all the issues. The site was redesigned to give a little more usability to mobile devices. Unfortunately, that requires sacrificing some of the traditional desktop usability. Instead of trying to maintain a mobile version of the site (like so many other websites) or building an official app for everything, they threw all their eggs in one basket. And I will admit, it does look pretty sharp on my phone. Works pretty great, too. The problem is, I absolutely never use this site on my phone. I've only ever used this site on a desktop. Always have, always will.

Can't make every body happy all of the time but you sure can make a lot of people mad all of the time.

I feel like I can juxtapose my biggest problem with this redesign with my biggest problem with Windows.

Over the last 6 or so years, Microsoft has been pushing their operating systems into a "one size first all" solution for all of their potential platforms. They've more or less turned Windows into a service based mobile OS. One Windows for every device. Be it smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop or whatever. What we have now is a far more mobile friendly OS. That's great! I don't use Windows on a mobile device. I use it on a desktop. I don't need or want features and apps designed to make my mobile experience better because I'm not on a mobile device. Not only is it not something I want, it actually hinders my ability to function my desktop as a normal-ass desktop.

The new Giant Bomb site is much more mobile friendly now (granted it's still a little broken on mobile devices). That's great! I don't use the Giant Bomb site on a mobile device. I have apps for that. I use the Giant Bomb site on my desktop(s). This mobile friendly version of the site hinders my ability to function the site on my normal-ass desktop.

Whatever, I'll skip the headache and just go straight into the video page.

Oh, and nothing against the cute, new logo but I'm pretty sure the old logo would whup his ass if he ever met him. I hate to think what the Beast bomb would do to the poor little guy. *shutter*

We are in the era of designers thinking they know what you want better than you do. Creating quality of life features nobody asked for and assuming everyone is going to want it. Hopefully I'm just being cynical and this is just a bug. I don't want my GB to be as much of a pain in the ass to use as youtube or Windows.

I've had this problem for a while now. Windows 10, latest FIrefox, HTML5 definitely, HD setting. Currently watching Ranking of FIghters 0015 and have it happen @ 3:15 consistently. Doesn't happen in progressive but there is an odd audio anomaly at that time. HTML5 must be using GGPO. =D
