Hestilllives19's Top Games of 2016

  • PS4: Absolutely fantastic. Best Uncharted game to date and best game in this Generation so far. Loved every minute of it. But I'm a bit of an Uncharted Homer... Still, everything is vastly improved. My only complaint would be the unavoidable exploding mummies, those were BS, but the combat to puzzle ratio was perfect and I loved the story moments and character development. Nobody does that better than Naughty Dog. The way they wrapped the series... just a smile from ear to ear for me.

  • PS4: Story sucks balls, especially a certain level, but the gameplay is top notch. Never thought I would enjoy a FF game this much, the moment to moment play is hard to beat by any RPG. Even if I can't stand the characters all that much. One of my favorite RPG's to play in a long time.

  • PS4: Same great franchise. All of the same things to love and to hate at first. But after really diving deep into this game, the things I hate, like Invasions really started to take hold of me as I got into NG+ running around as a Darkblade and hunting Invaders for people. I also was a slimy invader to finish a questline for a spell I wanted and ran into some of the most interesting moments in the entire game. So, while it sucks to have a guy run into your game and hide among AI and wait for an AI invader to take your attention and then backstab you to death and lose humanity, in the end the system justifies it's own means, as much as I despised it early on. This is easily my favorite entry into a fantastic series.

  • PS4: Story cutscenes are pretty great actually, very engaging. Gameplay is very repetitive but fun. Way better than expected. After finishing the story was the real gem here, as the gameplay waned fast.

  • PS4: Played around 120 hours. Story is pretty lame, needs a lot of work but Massive is showing a lot of potential really listening to isn't customer base. The updates and plans for Incursions seem pretty amazing. Really looking forward to seeing how this stacks up with longevity compared to Destiny, because it's the first game to grab my attention like Destiny did back in 2014.

Update: Incursions update was a whole bunch of mess, I went from playing this daily to putting it down and not touching it. They need to do some serious fixing to this game before I will touch it again.

Update 2: They did some great things with the Survivor mode and such but it was honestly too little too late. This game was killed by horrible bugs and slow, albeit good, support. Bad design decisions killed the economy and made it worthless too. It's too bad, this game could have been great.

  • Xbox One: Played the first couple hours. Pretty good, though not feeling it like I did Dead Rising 3.

  • PS4: Played several hours. Haven't finished. Pretty decent, though not as good as Human Revolution. Story isn't all that great. Plays well though.

  • PC: Played several hours into this game. It's pretty good. Lots of bugs but a lot of game to love too. Doing some personal PC reorganizing so haven't had a chance to play in a few weeks. Looking to fix that soon.

  • PS4: Played several hours, only a little campaign which was bad. PvP was decent though.

  • PS4: Played a few hours. Gameplay feels real floaty and loose. Honestly not enjoying much so far. Finally just turned it off and sold it, really hated the gameplay. They made it so much worse than 1.
