Some of my most frustrating times in the game were my initial runs through New Londo. Before I realized I will easily survive if I go S L O W . . . There, and goddamn blighttown....

As an addendum to my previous statement about not getting much humanity in Anor Londo, I netted about 12 humanity in the Painted World from my runs through it prior to killing the boss. Great place to farm souls off the phalanx there as well... If you've got any pyro slots, equip poison cloud, cast it on them, then go do something else for a few minutes. You can farm about 6000 souls off them in like 2 minutes. I generally keep the coiled serpent ring on at all times unless I'm at a boss I don't know.

2 questions;

Does improving shields effect their block stats?

When I ascend a weapon to say divine (you can sub in any of the other enhancements though), am I doing regular damage, plus blessed damage, or does my physical damage get replaced by blessed damage?

You're not gonna find extra humanity in Anor Londo to my knowledge.

Go to the bonfire in the sewers. Farm the slimes (because they are convenient and drop lots of titanite) and kill rats as was mentioned. Use a few humanity and save few in your inventory. Your Item discovery stat can get up to 410 with the coiled serpent ring so i believe thats 14ish humanity plus the ring.

If you do that for 20 minutes to half an hour you should have enough for a bit. Also, if you haven't gotten the kits that let you upgrade your weapons/armor at bonfires, buy them so you don't have to keep running back unless you need something ascended.

Also, you can only kill Lautrec, but i suspect you need to stay away from the other dudes till it pulls you out. I ran around not locking on and taking swipes at the caster until he was dead, then I just locked on to Lautrec and kept them in a line and finished him off. never killed the other dude.

Yeah dude, you're def putting way too many points into resistance. I'm not going to suggest you start over, but farm a shitton and put all the points in endurance and some in vitality (so you don't get one shotted when you DO get hit).

Also, You should also be upgrading your weapons way more. I'm only SL44 and I've got a claymore +10, Divine gargoyle battle axe +3, Greatsword +7 (going to be fire once I get there) and a few lower ones that i've toyed around with.

I liked it for the most part.. Haven't watched the other ERs though.

For someone who hasn't gone through the gamet multiple times, Can you guys say what happens when you mess stuff up at the fair? I wasn't aware that that stuff effected anything later in the game.

Huh. I've spent a decent amount of time human and I haven't been invaded yet. I was in the White covenant for a bit which i know decreases the chances, but I would still think it would happen every once and a while.

@SirOptimusPrime: Thanks for the help with the Gargoyle fight. I ended up grinding the rats below the Dragon for humanity, became human, and summoned the sun dude to take them out. Its a lot easier when they aren't always focusing on you! (any consequences to his phantom dying during the fight?)

New question. Picked up the Zwiehander (sp?) yesterday...Cool looking sword but man is it S L O W .... Is there any way to increase the speed with which you swing stuff? I really like using the huge swords so I know that they are going to be slower, but this thing is just too slow to use atm.

Yo Duders,

I'm at the Gargoyle fight on top of the undead parish. I can't kill these things for the life of me. I watched several videos and one in particular showed the guys SL as like 21. I'm around 13 at the moment. Am I way too low to be trying to take them down? Started as a Bandit and am using the Spider shield and Claymore+3 with leather armor. Should I be grinding levels or just re-attempting the boss constantly?
