No one is forcing you to watch these videos, and you are a very small minority of overly critical people who can't understand the humor of this website.

Have you watched more than 3 of these videos in your life? Have you seen everyone's full range of reactions? Have you seen the crap people have sent them, and the insane ways in which they choose to have them delivered?

I think you need to take a break as an actively posting member and look at the history of this website and the people who made it possible...I think you need to educate yourself on what kind of community this is, and what happens around here....

I think you may find that this place isn't for you, and that you are wasting time and energy that you could be using towards something that won't make you so bitter.

Since I don't follow any of the crew outside of this website, I only knew something was wrong from listening to the bombcast today....

I can't even begin to understand what you have and will be experiencing. I wish you and your mother easy times through the next few weeks/months of mourning and all the nasty (but necessary) legal and financial paperwork.

Take as much time as you need to get everything settled. We will all be here waiting for you.

At first glance I thought your case was some demonic Playskool microwave or refrigerator...

I agree with on the power situation....with a case that ridiculous and with you looking for the best in performance, upping to a 1000watt PSU would lend you some extra breathing room if you decide to add on extra hardware in the future.

I also put a vote in for an SSD as your main boot drive...if not also for your games. You can keep a large capacity HD for other purposes...but if you're putting the amount of money needed to get a ridiculous case, mouse, and 16GB of DDR3, you might as well cough up a bit more for the extra speed. You don't need to get a very large capacity, and if you have a fast connection to the internet, you can always just install/uninstall a few Steam games at a time.

I'm just throwing it out there: this is a terrible idea for a console and the people who have made this succeed are bad people.

I mean, forget how awful Android is as a platform in general with its general lack of standards for everything including apps and compatibility across versions, they're launching this thing on Ice Cream Sandwich? That makes a lot of sense - use an Android base that only 10% of Android users even use with Jelly Bean coming out really soon. Great thinking there guys; that's not going to worsen the market fragmentation issue at all!

It doesn't matter if they use ICS or not, it's gonna be heavily customised anyway, as long as it runs the same games it's a non-issue. Android's a great platform...for phone, not so much tablet or anything else however.

This is a stupid fucking idea and people funding it should be ashamed of themselves.

But how long will that compatibility last? Will they continue to update the firmware to make sure it's compatible with the latest OS, or are they just going to hope that their content producers will keep developing for every version of Android because there's no across the board standard and Google's Android Update Alliance was a titanic failure? That latter issue has been one of the huge sticking points for Android development; this doesn't help.

IIRC all games work as far back as Android 2.2, some go even lower than that - that's already around 2 years back. The games that require Tegra or whatever are a whole different issue however.

I think the only games that people will WANT to play on a non-portable console would be titles that require at LEAST Tegra support.

I'm jumping on the 'this is retarded' bandwagon. I'll buy the first round of beers.

It's just the herp derp smartphone gamers that are ragging on it. Everybody else saying it's dead should just shut the fuck up and see how it is a year down the line, because no console starts off very strong, the Dreamcast did the opposite.

Considering Sony itself decided to mostly ignore the device at this year's Sony press conference (I guess they didn't want to eat into all that precious "Wonderbooks" time)....I don't see how the "herp derp smartphone guys" have any reason to not rag on it.

Its far too large to be a pocket system, and still has a smudge-loving screen...I want to know how many people who didn't pay extra for some sort of carrying case have scratched it as well....or have ruined the joysticks.

There's few games for the system, and so far the ones released have consisted of quite a few sequels/ports of existing console games. On the subject of "portable console games", the system cannot pull off PS3-level graphics, and the buttons on the system feel...kinda cheap. Touch screens on the front and back just scream gimmicks!

The UI is...annoying.

And for games that come on solid-state memory devices, there is far too much loading going on.

There's also the downright criminal prices that Sony is charging people for *proprietary memory sticks*. Its not even like the PSP, where you can use these sticks in other Sony devices...you buy them for your Vita and use them for NOTHING ELSE.

Now, with all that negative stuff out of the way: The system has potential: no other handheld system has the graphics, the physical controls, and the strong gaming-centered company behind them like the Vita does.

I can't hate a system that has so much promise....I'm just disappointed that no game developer has seen this promise and has come forward with any "killer" apps.

(I have not been following the Tekken franchise as closely as other people have, so I am not specifically talking about Tekken...but producers/writers/coders in general here)

To all developers/writers/producers who decide to write "rants" like this:

So the best way to deal with whiny children is to make an equally whiny retort, and slightly insult and generalize your fanbase?

There's an old saying, "don't bite the hand that feeds you". I understand things change, and so long as you put *effort* into sequels down the road, I understand that you can't have the same voices over 15-20 years. I understand that people age, stupid contracts and lawyers keep you from using recorded lines in later re-makes or sequels, I also understand that people die...

But:

1: It does not excuse lackluster voice acting, shoddy graphics, poor storylines/endings, and worst of all horrible controls/gameplay.

2: Throwing a temper tantrum is not the way to show that you are an "adult".

Your way of life is supported by us consumers. The only way you are getting away with your childish rant is that you are high up enough in your company to get away with such unprofessional writing, and you have enough money in the bank to survive any sort of demotion, suspension, or firing that might come of your immature attitude.

If gaming needs to "grow up", then it needs to start by people like Harada learning to act like adults, and to remember that their paychecks come from our pockets. It does not matter if people flood their email inboxes with complaints, or if people are "whining to them", developers should take the high ground and deal with negative feedback in a different way than insulting people.

I love glitches like these. They're so entertaining I almost don't want them fixed.

But, on a serious note: do you have a save or different character you could try out to see if this is something item/quest related?

@Carryboy And I think until you try to manage a multimedia-heavy website while also juggling family life, company acquisitions, giant gaming conferences, and illness...

You really have no right to complain about not getting exactly what you want, when you want it!

You're all assholes, and the community would be better off without you.

They've been in the new office for over a month. Is this seriously still an excuse? They didn't even leave the city.

I mean, you understand that they didn't get any of the video or production equipment when they moved to CBSi and have had to deal with getting all new equipment while determining the logistics of where and how to film things for the various shows and videos and having one video producer have a child and the other go on a two week vacation in the middle of it all? Yes, it sucks that it's taking so long, but it's not like this is some "snap your fingers and it's solved" problem.

I mean, for god's sake forget premium content, they barely had the ability to put on TNT until this week except to borrow Gamespot's equipment when they weren't using it.

One month isn't "snap your fingers" speed at all.

Yes it is. Stop your whining and grow up. Real life problems, moving companies, moving into new offices, sickness, new baby, e3 coverage.... So sorry these guys aren't pandering to your specific demands... Assholes

Thanks for being so mature about your response. As always, the Giant Bomb Defense Force keeps it classy.

You're welcome!
