When I heard the complaints it did sound pretty awkward, but when I watched the quicklook it all flowed so seamlessly, I would need to play it to decide whether or not it has a lasting effect or gets tedious the more you play of the game.

Not being able to check your items sounds pretty annoying.

A lot of the menu complaints are things that become annoying over time. None of them are game breaking, just poorly planned out. As it stands now, the menu system is no faster than Fable 2's. That is a bad thing. Honestly, I believe a faster loading and easier to use form of Fable 2's inventory system would have been the way to go.

Most games have it under audio options so that is normally where I look.

When it comes to making English dubs, Atlus are fucking gods. You never get the feeling that things are lost in translation, and if a joke or something just doesn't work in English then they drop it and do something else. One of the main reasons that a lot of translations come off as weird and stilted is because companies try to make the dub identical to the original Japanese script. Atlus and their very talented staff of writers know this. The characters are all charming and likable and in a lot of ways feel like real teenagers.

I have a friend who wanted to cancel his subscription to Xbox Live. This was about two years ago, I think. Now, he didn't buy one of the cards from Gamespot or any place like that, he was paying with his credit card on a monthly basis. Turns out, he wasn't able to just go and cancel his subscription via the website. Something went wrong and he ended up having to call them, wait on hold for 25 minutes, and then had to talk to someone who insisted that he renew his subscription and canceling it would be insane.

I hope your issue is just browser based and not something that has you dealing with their customer support. It kind of sucks.

If for some reason the entire fate of the world was in my hands and I had to do something or everyone would die, I would opt not to save it. Why? Because people are completely shitty to each other. For no reason. So why not just one up all that and pull the ultimate dick move? Why not just put us all in the same boat together and go, "See. Do you see what all this got us? Good job. Bravo."

December 7th is a great day for them to release this. I thought the strategy was normally for companies to avoid launching titles on the same day as games that are considered the biggest titles of the year. Maybe they don't really share a target market with the WoW crowd, but a lot of people are going to be buying Cataclysm and nothing else for the next week or two. It is a movie tie in and those games tend to fall off the charts within the first two or three weeks of a films release.

I'd say SotN is the best place to start. It isn't the hardest Castlevania game out there, but it isn't a pushover. It is also the beginning of what you may call modern Castlevania. When people think of the series now most of them think of a big map for to explore as you wish, fight tons of enemies, and discover new items and abilities that let you access other parts of the game world.

A lot of the games I have seen listed so far aren't what I think of when talking about games that are fuck off super hard.  If I had to list what were the hardest games for me, then it would look something like this.

Forbidden Siren - Its a game for crazy people and if anyone ever says they beat that game without a guide then they are a goddamn liar. A lot of the difficulty comes from how abstract and incomprehensible the thing is at times, but it is also nonstop tension and terror, which is fucking awesome.
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne - No explanation needed.
Resident Evil 4 - Professional mode doesn't fuck around.
Super Ghouls and Ghost - Again, no explanation needed.
Final Fantasy Tactics - When I think back on beating this game I can only remember two things about it. 1. It had a great story. 2. Many, many soul crushing defeats that robbed me of hours of my life.

Other games that I got close to beating but just couldn't do are Ninja Gaiden on NES, Doom 2 Nightmare mode, and Aladdin on Sega Genesis. Oh, and BionicMonster is totally right, The Lion King for SNES was an evil motherfucker of a game. I never got past the third level.

I can't say that I really like any of the DMC games, so I'm not the kind of person that would get up in arms over a character redesign. That being said, this is not the kind of character redesign that would spark some interest from me in the series. He looks like a douchey punk ass teenager. Not my cup of tea.
