Seems like a decent game. The one big petpeeve i have with the combat is how it applies it rules inconsistantly. Let's look at that boss fight.
When the 'weak spot' markers appear, mousing over them and clicking is enough. Even when the markers are on the back of the robot. Makes it feel like the player is sitting in a helicopter at the side of the boss , instead of the player character shooting the boss while standing in front of him.
When you need to hit the core, suddenly you're required to manually steer the bullet to the robot's back to hit the core. The gun had no problems hitting the back before, why is it an issue now?
If you don't hit the head, bullets miss the boss and go in front of him. If you hit the boss in the head, bullets actually hit the boss on the same plane in the head. Why wouldn't the bullets just be ineffective if you don't hit the head. Why this confusion about different planes?
thats fair - im sure the thought process was "we want to make the player use multiple mechanics they know how to do for this boss" and went ahead with it. People tend to dislike too much focus testing in games but perhaps things like that would be brought to attention? Its really hard for the creators of the game to catch all these types of things
weow brad suggests eating watermelon with salt! 99% of people think my family is weird for doing this - but I grew up with it and thought it was normal haha
