Metacritic is great for getting the feel of something. You can see if something is favourably reviewed, you can also see what users rated it as a seperate score and you have a convenient list of where all the reviews for something were taken from. Like everything on the internet you should never use just ONE source and expect it to be gospel, the site itself gives you access to a myriad of its sources and you can further examine them to see if something is for you or not. Metacritic is a great thing, the only negative it has is when users use it as there only reference.

They've grown quick. They do things differently here. Endurance runs, mail openings, good reviews, the iphone app advertisement..... it all melds into something that works well ;)

Its simple, Borderlands isn't a PC game. "
It's simple. You're a troll and you were dropped on your head at birth. It's perfect, it explains everything. The retarded nature, the naive nonsensical bs you spew out, the amazing ability to not understand anything from another persons perspective and even the lack of your genitalia.

Maybe if Randys company had a PR department that actually communicated with the 1000's of annoyed and frustrated PC players of borderlands i'd find it easier to not knock him. But Borderlands desperately needs patching, no gamespy, no rediculous need for port forwarding which doesn't seem to have 100% success rate, a fixed menu system for the PC that is a direct console rip and which doesn't require editing of config files for exceptionally simple stuff (vsync, push to talk mic, aiming and crouching toggles, mouse smoothing)  and numerous other bugs and glitches fixed (watching a hunter use 100 of those birds at once completing unbalancing the game is annoying as hell).
It's a shame because i really WANT to love this game. They're making it bloody hard though!

Randy needs to stfu and stop dissing on people like Gabe Newell and Steam. Gabe's ongoing comments about the PS3 probably aren't wise but the man is still in a total other class of developers than Randy.

Edit: PC Forums if you need a nice example of the ongoing chaos of this unpolished port.

Blizzard can basically do no wrong music wise. Diablo 1 and 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 2 and 3 for sure. Even WoW has a ton of good music and I truly believe people wouldn't fall in love with that world without it. The barrens music, stormwind castle and darnassus priest temple music are all great examples.
Morrowind and Oblivion for sure (love the start of Oblivion with the flyover of the city).
Megaman 2 has some of the best music ever. Tell me you didn't get pumped the first Dr Wily stage.

The halo series in general. I love that series but I totally believe the music is THE major reason of why that series has been successful. Gameplay alone would not of sold it.
Final Fantasies 4 and 6 without question.

Basically all of these games are good but its the music that makes them something truly special.

Edit: Totally forgot ODST (not really including that in Halo series). ODST has some of the best ambience setting music ever. If you were playing that game alone with the music cranked you got an amazing sense of isolation as you wander the streets as the rookie.

@nail1080: How about you try and construct a decent argument instead of wasting everyones bandwidth with your pathetic "nerd tears" remark. I responded to the topic at hand and explained my point, all you've got is whining.
