All i'm hearing is PC users should shutup because console owners are happy with there cut down package. Get some balls console owners. You continue to miss out on free modifications and user made content and i'm not sure if its because you're all just too dam lazy to make a stink or that you're all just happy not having extra options and having to pay for your extra content. I guess it goes with the mentality of buying such an uncustomizable easy to use system in the first place, you're all not willing to put any effort into creating your own experiences (Little big planet aside ;) ). The PC people are complaining because we're about to be paying full price for a product that's missing things that are the norm for us. Sure the consoles haven't been getting them but thats a fight for the console people.
If you really don't want this stuff then fine it's your choice but don't try and say we have to endure this BS because you guys do. Dedicated servers and custom user made content is a huge part of how PC gaming works, we're happy with that. If we weren't then yes we'd go over to your console horde. Stop applying the lower standard to us.

@TheSmilingDude: Yeah not really sure on that one. I guess initially if you finish it fast and want another hit the DLC will be your highest quality added content. If you can wait a few months for people to learn the tools properly the free user made content will definitely be the way to go.

You ARE getting a full game. Its just in your mind that you aren't getting one because they're releasing more content. If they didn't release this DLC for another month or two I almost guarantee you'd get to the end of the game and feel satisfied and felt you got your moneys worth regardless.
I dont work for EA or Bioware but i respect them and the quality of there products in general.

Once again i don't understand why you feel you can rob them of there fair share when they've put in additional effort. If this turns out to be a 6hr game and they charge for the extra content sure I think your arguing and complaining is valid. But if it does turn out to be a 10 - 20 hour affair then they deserve to get more money for extending your experience further.

You need to understand that products have a certain scope and have a value attached at that. We're talking about a AAA title with theoretically 10+ hrs here. At what point do you get to make more money as a developer? 20hrs? 30? When you buy a car you get a bare bones machine, they make extras which may improve your experience but they aren't a necessity to achieve the products original goals right. I LIKE getting things for free yes, but i don't ever expect to and I don't complain when i don't get freebies. Life isn't a handout where you give nothing back, people and yes even big fat corporations deserve to get something back.

" Ummm, these people would get paid for working even if all the DLC was free.  The people getting money for your DLC purchases is EA's management and shareholders.  "
Yes because in this magical world of happy jellybean people and rainbows and buildings made of candy people who help create products that make no profit get paid.... oh wait... THEY DON'T.

I like to pay for someones time and guess what, businesses only like to pay people who make them a profit, i don't like to screw hard working people over. The game is the boxed package, anything else is cream. If you aren't happy with just 10 - 20 hrs for your initial investment then you shouldn't be buying games you're just going to be tremendously disappointed. If you've been paying attention it's accepted as the average playtime for your full price title. The additional content isn't the game, it's ADDITIONAL CONTENT. What do you think, you should get all the expansion content for free? Why do you think people are making this? It's a business and the point of business is to make money. The fact we get enjoyment from it is nice but that isn't going to feed them or the stock holders, who at the end of the day if aren't happy can destroy the bloody company and the lives of everyone who works there.
You aren't giving away your money for nothing, you're giving your money away to get more of what you like and to reward those who put there time into it. It's a choice on your part. You make it or you don't.
Fuck me, you probably think your iphone or blackberry should come free as well every generation because you bought the first.

Totally agree with   Diamond. Lets look at this logically. These people are out to make a living. They've designed what the product will contain a long time ago and added more to it! (which i'm sure since it's bioware will be anything from 10 - 20 hrs first play through and probably more if you're slow and methodical). Anything that's in addition to that they should dam well get MORE money for. Do you work for free? Are you happy when someone takes the code you write without giving you credit? Do you like doing pro-bono work when you actually want to put food on your table? If you answered yes to those questions you're either a liar or a dam idiot. If you think this is "screwing you" then don't buy it. I'll agree that timing is everything and if you're going to release extra content maybe push it back a month, but only because that additional month will help you avoid this selfish I-want-my-free-content-now whining. Everyone look at it from a developers point of view and not your own greedy one.

It's a great city. Nice place to live. Tons of outdoor stuff in the short summer (like 3 - 4 months) with hiking, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, sky diving etc. Winter is downright depressing for a lot of people but as long as you A) Love indoor activities like gaming or B) Love skiing then the winter is perfectly fine.
Oh the women are gorgeous as well ;).
No they don't say "aboot" or any eastern crap like that here. It's pretty neutral with accent.
It's expensive here but hopefully you can pick up a pretty decent job.
Get a bike for the summer if you live near downtown so you never have to take a car or public transport. It's a great city for riding, even if the bus drivers have no clue how to drive and will probably try and pancake you between them endlessly.
