Beat the final boss a couple of days ago, and while it was a close call, it was not that bad. Would be easier in co-op, but I managed fine alone. Sure the enemies are more spongy than I would like, but as long as you upgrade your weapons and think about armor type you take down most enemies fast. I can understand why some people don't like the game, but the absolute vitriol against it is so overblown.
I also like the sisters actually. They are funny in a dorky way, which is really funny with BJ being their dad. I like the fact that they are goofy as fuck. Oh, and fuck nazis.
Never had a WiiU so didn't play MM at all. Got MM2 day one. It's fun and all, but it is kind of a bummer how having your level played seems to be hard without having a platform with a lot of followers to play them. That was something I didn't really think about when it came to these games.
I'm still getting tripped up when hearing the enemies grunts when getting hurt. Most of them are the exact same sounds they used in Outcast. I never played Goldeneye, so for me those are Outcast's sounds, even though I know Outcast came out later.
Also, Monday is the first day of the week. The weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is the end of the week.
@bisonhero: This is exactly how I feel about Fortnite as well, but I can see how it can be very fun to play if you are into this kind of gameplay. I am not a PVP kind of guy, which makes it completely uninteresting for me. But if I had been that guy, having a F2P game of this size? I would probably be hooked as well.
I do find it funny that Giant Bombs 2017 GOTY was a buggy, generic (and sometimes downright ugly) looking shooter that to me seems like a bore and a slog to play. I understand those who like Fortnite more than those who like PUBG. But again, neither of these games are for me.
It would be good if some people would stop using the "I don't like this so it sucks and is bad" and instead start saying "I don't like it, I think it sucks" etc. It's a small change, but maybe it would stop some people complaining.
Playing Warframe with a controller sounds like a nightmare to me... how do you aim fast enough to kill things fast enough? I mean, I have played a lot of Warframe (closing in on 500 hours), though I play sporadically so I never get good enough to do end-game stuff like Sorties and Eidolon Hunts. And even with the mouse I just can't hit everything fast enough all the time. Are people who mostly play consoles just that good at aiming with a stick?
@longevitous: Must have been the region thing, because it was a constant struggle keeping it synced.
@satori: I know someone came to the same conclusion about different regions having slightly different speeds on a previous Film & 40, so I am sure both of us had that issue this time. Just have to hope the next one works better, or I will have to find some way to either change the speed on the podcast, or just do something to sync them up a different way. Which sadly is difficult when streaming.
This was a nightmare to sync for some reason. Every other Film & 40 has been fine, but for some reason the movie kept getting ahead of the commentary. The only place I could watch it online here in Norway was a rented version on Google Play, which I streamed through my PC to my Chromecast. Anyone know of a reason why this would make the movie go faster? Are there tiny differences in some versions? Anyway, think I will have to do some more work baking the commentary in on the next one, somehow. Great commentary at least, so glad this feature is back!
@feckless: Well, I thought the same thing until I actually got into Warhammer 40K and learned more about the lore there. Which makes it kinda clear that nothing of the Fantasy Warhammer lore could have happened far back in time. Not on Earth anyway. If Warhammer happened on some other planet in the galaxy, it could maybe work, save for a lot of things that would not fit together. Anyway, I am sure they are going to keep saying it's the same universe, and it's not like it really matters anyway.
