Apparently my temporary new place of residence doesn't like my built-in laptop mic and makes things very echo-y. Decided to upload raw footage with the mic muted instead. Could have gone so much better. Probably lower quality too, because my desktop PC's still at home, and seems Spelunky still doesn't have cloud saves, so I'm back to vanilla Spelunky Guy for now until I re-unlock my Lime Sombrero duder and all my Journal pages.

Changing up the format so as not to clog up the forums as much as we have been, I'll get the ball rolling with the weekly threads. And also with the impending failure. Timing-wise, in case others want to start threads in the future, Sunday after 7pm EST is when the thread needs to be rolled over into a new one, since midnight GMT is when the Daily Challenge seed rolls over.

At least i made it out of the mines this time? 2 dark levels though.. eugh.

Disaster. There are no other words for it.

Rotten Daily seed today. Arrow trap right on the dark level exit was a real pain.

META: Participation in the threads both here and on the Steam Group page has been way down since Patrick beat Yama and stopped doing Spelunky on GB's channel and moved it to his own. Should we just make single threads for the week and keep those updated, or soldier on and stick with Daily threads? I kinda feel bad for clogging up the forum from "proper" discussion of Spelunky by just having a bunch of Daily threads where nobody is either reading or watching.

That's 3 days in a row that I've set new Personal Bests. Solid work, but I've still not gotten to and/or beaten Olmec during the Daily Challenge. I've decided that's my cut-off point as far as posting videos every day, I might cut back to twice a week for recorded runs on the quest to #BeatYama.

2 Temple runs in a row for me, and consecutive new Personal Bests for me. Good seed, though I wasted bombs early and didn't get into the Black Market. Guess I should have stuck with the mattock coming out of the snake pit instead of reverting to the shotgun.

Set a new Spelunky personal best on this run - quite proud of myself, furthest I've gotten since I started. Discounting Olmec, because I used Tunnel man to start in the Jungle on that run.

Following a defeat of Olmec last night in Adventure mode, my confidence was still brimming, and saw me make it to the Jungle on the Daily for the first time in a while. But as always, pointlessly attacking out-of-the-way enemies would be my downfall. I need to get into the mentality of leaving well alone.

Less than an hour after posting an abysmal Daily run where freeze gun recoil sent me onto some spikes (I'm really not joking), this happened. Granted, I did use Tunnel Man to start in the Jungle, but I still count this as an achievement of sorts. Managed to find the Black Market without the Udjat Eye and robbed it with relative ease, but somehow missed the Moai in the Ice Caves, meaning no City of Gold or Hell. Ended up using the Ankh on 4-3 after a brave encounter with a shopkeeper went pear-shaped.

So yeah, thanks gang! Couldn't have done it without watching some of you guys and knowing how to approach things better
