Let's be honest here regardless of whether drugs were found or not the man was armed and the SWAT team had no way of knowing that the man had the safety on. Now they were wrong for not letting paramedics into the house after it was secured but you can't say there wrong for firing at a man armed with an assault rifle.@Purple_Proletarius said:
@Commando said:Oh you're right that they should have let the medics in. Hell, they shouldn't have fired on him in the first place since no drugs were ever found. But I was just saying that it is highly unlikely that he suffered at all.I mean if he was hit with 60 shots, you'd think at least one of them would hit his heart, lungs, or brain and killed him instantly. I doubt they "left him to bleed to death". Chances are one of the shots was an instant kill. That's not how health care works. It's not "Chances are, that guy is dead, so whatever." They prevented the medics from reaching him for an hour. SWAT teams are supposed to be able to move in quickly and secure the area, there's nothing that should have prevented the medics from reaching the man.
