@thatdutchguy: Your comment.....your username.......Mr Van Persie! It is a pleasure to have you on the forums sir :P I believe you may have missed the word "half " from before day.
@dunster: this thread is so weird to read as an english duder, over here if you are on 52k a year you are doing really really well. That is a super high salary! However i did the maths and realised that The english equivilent of a 52k dollar salary is £33,000, and i dunno what its like where you live but while that isnt a huge amount in the grand scheme of things there are hundreds of thousands of people who would dream of earning that amount and i wouldnt be so presumptuous as to laugh at them.
If the internet does one thing well, it's be nasty! I think we should use this thread (and I would be very happy to know if someone else has done this already) to show our appreciation for the work that GB has provided during E3. This year I have been astounded at how awesome the GB coverage of E3 has been. Despite being burgled the videos by drew and Vinny, the interviews, and the live shows have so far been the best I can think of from the GB dudes!
Unfortunately the stream is scheduled to start at 4am for me. I tried to watch it this morning but the late starting time just sent me straight back to sleep. I'm going to be watching them archived on twitch because that way I can sit back and enjoy!
We are the core consumers and target audience of the video game industry, we have a voice, as demonstrated by sony's used games, online and pricing policies but the weight in that voice is useless if we just scream at any slight bad news.
I strongly believe that consumers should pay for a worthwhile service, and Sony have done everything in their power to demonstrate that PS+ is a worthwhile online service. For the price of a single game you have access to free games all year round. When I was a teenager this would be a dream, for those on a budget how can that be a bad deal? Ok so online multiplayer is now paid, but think about what you are getting for that money. In comparison to mobile phone contracts, tv contracts, internet contracts, Sony are offering a deal that is really very good.
The internet needs to learn how to show gratitude.
Duders, today I stumbled across a new occurrence, the contextually perfect game. Take in one hand Bulletstorm. Overly violent and shallow. Take in another hand a handful of job rejections. Bring the two together and we have....a contextually perfect game.
Got me thinking, what other games go together perfect with various things? Aside from Bulletstorm I'll add another to the list:
Its kind of surprising, I had expected a lot of really long sessions, and while we can all drop some time here and there...the majority of us seem to be happy with 1, 2 hours sessions! When I was younger it was also about not being able to afford loads of games, for the GB staff the quicker a game can be finished and enjoyed the better for their job. But as a teenager I didn't really want to finish that game I'd waited 6 months for in 2 days!
