I've been watching Play, Watch, Listen a lot recently. Staring Alanah Pearce, Troy Baker, Austin Wintory, and Mike Bithel. A lot of hard-hitting video game discussions...when they're not on some wild tangent. Very Beastcast-like, and it comes out every Friday too!

I'm so out of touch with GB news but this is quite a bummer. Vinny, Brad, and Alex were 3 of my favorite dudes on the site and I'm sad to see them go. Vinny is one of my top inspirations for wanting to work in TV/Video production.

Whatever each of their plans are going forward, I hope they're happy.

Is it possible to add 'Judgement' as an alias so it shows up in more searches?

I feel bad about my 'laziness' comment earlier. I've always enjoyed GB content and value them enough to keep my Premium Sub going(in spite of the fact i haven't watched a ton of content this past year).

In regards to the GOTY format, i think i would rather they just do the multi-part podcast where they discuss the games that came out this year at length(what they liked and didn't like about them) and then decide the awards off camera. I don't need to hear the same talking points about a particular game twice.

I saw this mentioned in the GotY video for Best Story so i wanted to go and watch the QL for it on the site, problem is when i typed 'Judgement' into the search bar, the PS4 game was the only one that didn't pop up. I had to do a Google search to find GB's entry for it.

Not sure if this is a bug or is fixable with a Wiki edit.

I used to love listening to the Bomb Crew's arguments for GOTY but i would always check the Summary articles/videos FIRST to see you won, and THEN go to the podcast to see how they came to that decision. Now i have to scrub through 4-5 hours of video to just find out what their final verdict is(Not very optimal if i'm trying to avoid spoilers for a particular game).

This whole format reeks of laziness, IMO. I wouldn't mind if they just copy pasted the data from their GOTY doc into an Article along side the podcast. Also, as someone who's dabbled in video editing, i know that longer videos take a lot longer to render and upload so why not upload a video for each category? That's what they've done for the last few GB @Night streams(each panel of guests has its own video).

This not too surprising considering who he cast as Big Boss in the last Metal Gear. But I agree @brackynews, that's the same reason I love Sam Witwer so much(Vader's Secret Apprentice, and star of the soon to be released Days Gone). I love listening to him "geek out" on Twitch and share his various life experiences.

I've had a lot of fun playing the game but one issue i have with the combat is activating executions(or combat drains/brands) through the Might meter instead of your combo meter. Unless i enter a battle by stealth killing a bunch of Orcs, i find it takes a long time to build up Might so i can unlock the executions or cool special arrows. There is one upgrade that supposedly makes successful sword strikes gain Might faster at the cost of it draining when you get hit or leave combat but that feels like it should be part of the core ability.

As someone else said, the Glaive attack kinda works for crowd control but takes way too long to charge up and doesn't hit enemies behind you. The lack of adequate crowd control abilities early on makes most of the fights very annoying.

Do you think the Giant Bomb Twitch channel should be Partnered? Say what you will about the Twitch community but it would be another source of revenue for GB. That one guy at the PAX panel was asking how he could give them MORE money, Twitch would be another way to do that.
