It's kinda weird reading the same complaints in all these reviews when you think back on other games of the past 10 years or so. I recall putting dozens of hours into Battlefield 1943 last gen, and having an absolute great time. Granted, that was $15, but I still don't understand why everyone is so hung up on maps and unlocks.
I also remember part of the design philosophy behind Team Fortress 2 was that after researching, Valve found that people actually had a better time playing on fewer but higher quality maps.
Some of these complaints, I'm totally on board with, but still some seem contrived.
