They have so many other timelines to choose from. Maybe mixing it up by being able to select different characters from multiple timelines would be interesting.

@mustainium: framerate is fine????? What platform are you playing it on? If pc have you traveled to the future to purchase a video card? If console do you find 20 fps acceptable for "next gen" hardware?

@akraftwerkorange: Thank you as this was the best reply I have seen in a while. I absolutely 100% agree. Patrick completely missed the point. It was supposed to be calculating and procedural as his whole life in the military had been up to that point.

There are certain design choices that create an atmosphere that you simply adjust to such as.the black and white of Limbo. Your gameplay is not limited. I don't think at any time you say to yourself...man I wish this had color.

The design choices in The Evil Within, however, leave me questioning design choices all the time. The problem is that I really have no argument against the artistic vision statement. If Ubisoft says AC Unity will be 30 FPS because it looks MORE LIKE FILM and Bethesda says The Evil Within is 30 FPS because it looks MORE LIKE FILM what are we to say? I just find it a little odd that 2 publishers release statements very close together that throw the whole technical spec issue out the window by using an artistic license card.
