Games that defined my childhood

List items

  • First game I ever played. I would always go co-op with my dad, and we would abuse the glitch where, if you pressed A at the same time over an empty tank, it could duplicate into two separate tanks. Also, couldn't survive the game with out using ABBABBA!

  • I played every single one of these games before I was out of elementary school. The older games with the Parser interface were difficult, but I managed my way through most of the point and click games. I must say though, it is much better playing these games as an adult, when I am able to get the jokes.

  • First multiplayer game that I played with friends.

  • I remember playing this game as the amazon just to bite dudes' faces off. My 6-year-old self could not get enough of that.

  • My first foray into first person shooting (parents wouldn't let doom into the house). I keep waiting for Lucasarts to revisit the Kyle Katarn storyline (noscon!), as I still think there's a place in gaming for a Star Wars based shooter.
