Secondly, gotta go with the PS1. Don't get me wrong I love my 360, but my PS1 consumed my life when I was about 18/19 years old. I was playing it the day my wife surprised my with a PS2. Postman delivered it, took 'Ape Escape' out the PS1, slammed in the PS2, carried on with my game.

If the answer to both of these is yes then play Dead Space. This game rests on the line drawn between 'honoured homage' and 'callous plagiarism'. Great game either way though.

I like a bit of J-rock. Craziest gig I've ever been to was the Mad Capsule Markets in the Mean Fiddler club under Tottenham Court Road station years back. If you've ever been there you'll know it's a tiny, hot, black cupboard. I'm pretty sure it was just after "osc-dis" came out. I was one of about 3 white guys in there. Man, those Japanese know how to fucking party!

White Pony by Deftones

My favourite album to date. Honourable mention goes to (What's the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis and OK Computer by Radiohead.

I'm a big fan of Deftones. They have a feel for the genres I'm into and then some. Their music has subtle substance, more so in White Pony.

I've always said since the arcade pack came out that I'd probably buy one of those while my 360 is in the post to Microsoft. For a start, don't fancy the wait. Secondly my experience with refurb hardware has been many, and wholly negative too. Of all my consoles that have gone off for repair, all have come back with a new set of problems. Mostly because the new insides once belonged to another poor sods "repaired" machine. More complicated hardware just means there's more to go wrong.

Ok my suggestions are:

a) Don't buy it
b) Steal it
c) Steal $60 and buy it with that.
d) Start a charity "The Hard Done By Game Players Association", hold an event, raise at least $60, steal that $60, and buy it with that.
e) Buy another game and get L4D2 later.
f) Bitch and moan about it, wait till your friends buy it,  then buy it anyway.
