Watching the crew play Red Dead Online is a lot more fun then playing Red Dead Online. Pay wall live service games are on the way out I think. I wonder how long it will be before they restructure the economy to get people playing again. Battlefront 2 is actually worth playing now. If EA can do it....
The anchor boss in Control is incredibly easy so I don’t understand the criticism. You throw 4 clocks in it’s mouth and it dies. It takes like 3-5 mins. Do people not know you can hit the dodge button while flying?
Ron Funches was right. I’m with Jeff on Outer Wilds. It’s a short game made long via wondering around and wasting time. Control IS the best game of the year! :)
After playing the games for several hours and loving it, I took to the internet expecting amazing reviews. I was genuinely shocked reading Alex’s review and often felt like he and I played different games. The real question I’m left with... Are reviews for games in the 21st century actually useful? Several people in the comments said they were going to not buy/cancel their pre-order. Some of those people would probably love this game. Their individual life experiences would make this game more compelling then it was for Alex. I feel like games are becoming more non-binary like more traditional art. Nothing against Alex. I’m just a different person with different taste.
New games are coming out soon but not yet. So to everyone that thinks UPF is getting stale give it a couple weeks for the new hotness to arrive. Also, it seems like Rorie is trying to do better which I appreciate.
@nadavis1: I can’t agree more. I have been complaining about Rorie for months now. He constantly talks over the other guys and acts like an authority on everything. It’s make UPF unwatchable.
For me Destiny is a boring cash grab that is lacking content... So when people say they wish Borderlands was more like Destiny I can’t help but wonder why? Would adding loot boxes you pay real money for and forcing you to repeat the same content over and over again really help the Borderlands formula? “It feels like a game from years ago” is praise in my opinion. If a game feels like the feature rich games of 10 years ago I’m all about it!
