Trying to make a list. Who are the most important game designers of all time, according to Giant Bomb. If you can, list names and notable works or contributions.
I'm working on a design piece and this is relevant.
My wife and I have a Mini Schnauzer (Simon) and a Pug (Remington). Minis are dope, but regular Schnauzers are great too. Pretty smart and playful, albeit stubborn.
I never noticed Patrick being anything other than a pretty cool guy. I mean, they're game critics. You spend all your time reviewing games and tearing them up for a living, it's bound to seem that way.
That being said, I feel like is it just me or does Jeff dis a lot of games that he puts tons of time into. Just for the lols?
This is mostly it. If you look at weekly sells there is always major increases when a new game comes out Japan wants. There is more than just Monster Hunter that can move Vitas (we'd probably see a huge jump if like SE put out some FF spinoff) but really the fact is the selection is pretty slim on games that will move units, and with Nintendo having Monster Hunter it's probably going to be rough roads for the vita for a while.
This actually makes me even more curious as to what the Vita will do here. The lineup we're seeing is pretty Western-focused. I'm noticing, despite a large number of media concerns, a lot of consumer interest... more than I expected at least.
Actually, I do have a question. I heard that when you play PSP games on the VIta, it does some smoothing and other effects to improve the graphics from the way they looked on the original PSP. Do you have any experience with this?
From what I've read, they are on short supply with the memory cards. Bad move going proprietary, Sony. But the sales figures being low should be relatively attributable to that, no? I know I wouldn't buy a piece of hardware if I couldn't have all the equipment needed to get the full experience.
