• Hauled up out of Blightown to get back into the Undead Asylum to find that Rusty Iron Ring
• Discovered the Fire Keeper was dead and wept a little inside
• Back to Blighttown and discovered that secret wall in the tree, but didn't go down any further
• Finally got the guts to fight Quelaag and found out she's super easy
• Farmed for Humanity off the rats in Depths a bit
• Tried Sen's Fortress and got my face eaten by snake guys
• Turned off the game and sought an activity that would make me feel like I'm awesome

so I found that some console commands helped and primarily the "tlb" command was the key to the weird colors and everything. So now I'm working on this issue...

Not so "natural"

So I did the TTL thing and it fixed some nearby textures... I went out to a different location and the lighting/color was all funny... kinda like this...

Went into the graphics settings and turned on the distant lands because my rig is good.. got this...

I"ve done little modding. I did put Qarl's newest texture in there, but I don't understand why I could go and delete all the Steam files as well as anything in the /mygames folder and yet after a re-install I still get the issues...

I've run OBMM and run the "Archive Invalidated" tool and so I'm not quite sure what's up...

I can't figure out how to fix this... been poking around for a couple of days now...

Anyone know much about this?

So I just got back from an internship in NYC and unpacked my desktop. About 10 minutes into playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution I noticed my fans were working overtime. I downloaded Speccy and checked out my temperatures. Both my processor and GPU were running at about 96 celcius. Damn, that's hot.  
 
I've been wanting to liquid cool my machine, and have been needing an excuse to get into it. I just need to know exactly how to go about it. I would be totally willing to start with a more self contained unit and saw a couple online, but they seemed to be just for the CPU. I could do a more custom build thing, but I've never done it before and would need a "for dummies" type approach to it. Any suggestions? Google searches aren't finding me something as useful as I had hoped.

I just moved into a new place and tested my bandwidth. I was clocking 5.5 Mb down and 7.0 up. Decided to download a bunch of games on steam (one by one, mind you) and also a few off direct 2 drive. Can't get over 150kb/sec from either service.  
 
Seems fishy. Bandwidth clocks normal but i'm getting super low speeds. Anyone know about this?

I don't understand why people don't see that this partnership with AT&T isn't purely based on Sony just lining up the different providers and saying "I like this one!". There could be a number of factors. There's a good chance (judging by how long it took Verizon to get on board with the iPhone), that there are some limitations, technical or otherwise, that keep other providers from jumping on top of new technologies and deals like this. It could be part of their business strategy to keep the new market entries to other providers to see how it plays out. Maybe some providers have found more success at not being early adopters, therefore are shy to jump on. Maybe AT&T is negotiating a better deal with Sony to keep the costs down ultimately for the consumer. There's a lot that goes into a decision like that which is unseen. It's not just because they love AT&T.  
 
Also, I don't see a need for 3G either. Until those networks become truly fast and useful, I don't care to have 3G. My iPhone still takes good time to load data on 3G... not truly gaming worthy yet in my opinion. 

I'm interested, but on internship in NY and don't have my PC here for the summer. What are the lot of differences from Minecraft aside from the obvious 2d-ness of the game??

I find there to be a big difference between foul language and childish language. I can handle any number of profanities sent to me. I do agree that Tarantino's language is over the top... he redeems himself in other ways. It's not even the f-bombs that put me off.. it's the senseless dick talk that makes no sense and reminds me of when I was in third grade and kids knew foul words, but were still learning how and when to use them so they didn't sound nonsensical.
