I recommend Bulletstorm! It takes a bit to get going, but it's quite fun, and short. Sadly I didn't find much replay value to it, but for what it is I think it's quite good!

I enjoy watching Patrick's quest to become, basically, a Youtube horror LP-er! I'm legitimatly facinated by this.

@BulletproofMonk: I agree that the story in MGS2 is batshit awesome, but I think the whole Raiden thing is a bit of knife twist. With that said, I ended up enjoying that game a lot despite the fact that I didn't like Raiden.

The absolutely most boring game I've ever played? That's a tough one, since I tend to steer clear of things I wont enjoy, and I have a hard time finding bad entertainment boring. It's still entertainment. With that said, last month I picked up Evil Genius from gog.com and I have to say that it was one of the most boring games I've played. It started out interesting, but eventually I just found myself not enjoying it. It seemed like a decent game, and there are some fun systems, but I don't think everything worked the way it should in the game, thus it left lots of boring sessions of me repeating objectives over and over again.

While Ash Williams is a badass (at least in Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness), and I love the Evil Dead movies, I don't think that's a good idea for a survival horror game. It sounds like a good action game with horror and comedy elements (ala Shadows of The Damned) rather than something that's trying to scare you. Survival horror games should have an element of helplessness to them, and Ash Williams is anything but helpless. Of course, that begs the question of "what is survival horror?" And not every game should be the same.

Still, if they were to make a good Evil Dead game, I'd be into that. Also, you may want to read the Freddy Vs. Jason. Vs. Ash comics.

I'm going to kick myself for posting the same response in two posts, but Just Cause 2 is pretty much all about having fun. Combine that with Saints Row: The Third, and voila. The only thing that they don't fully have is an RPG-style level progression since both of theirs is mostly based on skill or equipment upgrades. The only thing that really hurts these games is that they don't play well on the second go, though Just Cause 2 has so much to do that you'll barely want to do a second run-through.
