As someone with giant hands, that 2DS looks way more comfortable to me than the clamshell design just because of the extra real estate. I might pick one up when I can get it for $100 or so.
I'm definitely of the opinion that admitting that you're an asshole doesn't make it okay to be an asshole. Marcus Beer definitely seems like an asshole, but damn if Phil Fish is acting like a goddamn child about the whole thing.
So does this mean discs will be required for installed games?
I think I read somewhere that this was the case. As far as I can tell they're basically backpedaling to the point that the policies with the XBO are going to be pretty much identical to those on the 360.
I'm curious to see what this means for games that used cloud stuff to offload some processing stuff. Are there any games that were counting on that connection for single player content? Are those games screwed? All of the examples I can think of off of the top of my head are multiplayer things, so I'm not sure.
I was thinking earlier today how much I'd enjoy hearing you guys talk about movies like Man of Steel and Only God Forgives when they come out. Now my dream can come true!
I'll probably still end up picking this thing up. If they take the base level open world stuff that was in Arkham City and expand on it, having a big open world Batman game could be a ton of fun. That Rocksteady isn't involved and Paul Dini isn't writing it doesn't inspire a ton of confidence though.
Eh. I guess I always kind of assumed that whatever Respawn was making was going to be similar to Bungie's Destiny in that it'll be very identifiable as a game that those guys would make with bigger "social hooks" or whatever. It was never a game I was particularly interested in playing, so I'm kind of indifferent to this other. Then again, it's pretty crazy that he's leaving his new(ish) company before they even announce, much less ship, a game
Still optimistic for this one though, but 2 was better than 1.
Aside from your optimism about this game, I disagree with everything you just said.
Opinions!
I definitely think that Bioshock 2 played better than the first, but the atmosphere and story in the first I thought was quite a bit better. I'm really quite excited to play this one as well.
On one of my monitors, if I full screen the browser, the scaling on the site widens it out a little too much and cuts off the left and right edges of the page. The resolution is 1280 x 1024 (It's old, but it's what I have at the moment). The site is still usable, but edges sometimes get clipped a bit and buttons close to the edge of the screen get lost a little too (the theme color button specifically). Is there a way to force the site to render a little narrower?
