Stopped by the Chrono Trigger page on Steam and noticed the release date was changed to April 30, 2018 which seems to have had the knock on effect of making all of the old reviews say they're pre-release reviews.
I'm all for Square Enix fixing the issues with the game but gaming the reviews seems like a jerk move. There have been other companies pull stunts to game the review systems but don't know how common changing the date is.
It's not worth messing with Hackintoshes. That kind of bodging means that any time that there's a change in the software or an update the likelihood of having to start over is rather high.
Imagine trying to run the PS4 system firmware on an original Xbox One. While technically possible its a waste of time and money.
Your best bet is to go to OWC/Macsales and purchase a used unit or a refurbished model directly from Apple.
@ripelivejam: That's how I played it on PC with the Steam Controller. Setup the motion control for the mouse when holding the right pad. Worked pretty well but needed more refinement than I cared to put into it.
I would take that or at least touchscreen inventory control.
Managed to get one by dropping in at GameStop at just the right time. Was ready to jump in the car to leave the office anyway and if I'd gotten to the store just 2 minutes later they'd have been sold out. If I left the office only 2 minutes sooner though I'd have missed the email.
Sooooo..... Nintendo says that they're producing "more" of the SNES Classics yet the store I went to only had an allotment of 10. Meanwhile I'm 90% sure that same store had 15 NES Classics.
Someone has to keep the scalpers employed. Nobody else will do it.
@slasktotten: MPT on Wii/Wii U is 480p widescreen and runs at 60fps probably 99% of the time at least for 1 and 2, haven't played 3 yet and the Trilogy only supports Wiimote+nunchuck.
I really wish that it supported something resembling standard FPS controls but it doesn't. You can't even run with the pseudo controls that the games had on the Gamecube. The games play really well with the Wiimote for aiming and as far as motion controlled FPS aiming I think it's the best implementation though standard dual stick controls (or something like Metroid Prime Hunters would be much much better).
Really hoping that MP4 uses something akin to Splatoon controls when it comes out. If they released MPT with Splatoon controls even without any other updates I'd still get it to replay the whole series.
So far all 5 that I've backed. Two haven't even shipped since backing them in 2014 and those that have I've either lost interest in them or they're no longer on the platform that I want to play on.
Oh well lesson learned. Don't pay attention to "upcoming games" and instead watch the recent releases for things that are interesting.
Between this and Amazon's new echo with a camera I keep checking the calendar to see if it's April 1st already. That being said more expansions for FH3 is nice to see.
@armaan8014: Did you get the original, slim or Pro? I've been mulling getting a PS4 for a while now. I've gone back and forth on PC's for years but while it's great at the start over time PC's just annoy me.
My first console was a Super Nintendo. I don't remember knowing that games even existed until one morning my brother was playing Super Mario World in the living room. Since then I've had every Nintendo console with only the original Wii being sold off. Also got a 360 slim a few years ago but it burnt out a few months back.
